Fugly Poker Table Thread (42 Viewers)

Who wouldn't want to spend $1500 to have someone else's logo prominently displayed off-center on your unusable table?

I get so tilted when I see somebody built a table with built-in chip trays for each player. Haven’t they ever been to a casino?

Truth is, probably not. We have one casino near us and it has no poker room. The closest is 1.5 hours away.

Our work would have an annual meeting at the casino in AC and I hated it. The residual smoke, the sheer desperateness of the folks spending their welfare checks, hoping to be struck by lightning. It’s depressing quite frankly.

Then we started at the Bellagio in Vegas. Hated it more, because of the travel time. I remember looking out the window of the plane on approach, after a 5 hour flight, and thinking; who the hell would come to a desert unless they had to?

After nearly 20 years, February was the first meeting where I began to embrace the casino. Why? I’d been hosting a home game for 5 years, but for the first time in my life, I sat down at a casino poker table. It took me several beers and some brown liquor to get there. I did well both nights and more importantly had a lot of fun, because there was good crowd at the table.

So, IMO, there are plenty folks who’ve never been to a casino and/or have never seen a “real” poker table.

I did not see a Fugly Table Topper thread, so I'll just leave this right here.

Funny thing is that might not be a topper!
Yeah, I was just looking at it thinking: 'well, the table has permanent cupholders drilled into it'........... = no topper... ;)

I was thinking the same thing...

No chance he ruined a table by drilling holes to use *solely* as a base for the topper... But if you were going to ruin the table, there is so much that could have been done better.

:fail: on so many levels.

Lol. It doesn't lack craftsmanship like some of the fuglies posted here... And its not the Sox logo either...

But a raised, scallopped race track, and a raised inlaid playing surface?! Surround by suited speed cloth... I don't forsee any cards being flipped over with that in the middle... And then those bases... plenty of room to stretch out.

This is a focal point/discussion piece, but not a functional piece of furniture for your poker room.

Wow, I'm torn. I'm not a fan of racetracks, and I can't even imagine what kind of maniac would put a piece of glass in the middle of a card table. But I love the red sox and those baseball pedestals are amazing.

After seeing this, I've now decided that all my tables need chip drawers.

Awesome looking table ... but not practical.

I know the angle makes it look worse (at least I hope it does), but that is just a ridiculous racetrack size... And that table looks huge for 6 players... Or is it only 4? Do you measure the number of players by the rail space, the number of cup holders, or the number of useless racks placed into the table?

I'm so confused.

Not everybody drinks while they play. :)
