Not Mine 16,000 Casino Chips (1 Viewer)

That seller will be holding on to that for awhile unless he/she pieces out or one of the chip merchants negotiates a deal with them possibly for resale.

Did you notice the shipping cost, thats the real deal, LOL.

I poked around. The boat moved in early 2017, and renamed. It is in Galveston now and is the Jacks or Better casino boat. Old media from the old website from Aransas Pass looks like they had solid chips at their table games. A change of ownership was mentioned. New owners probably = new chips, while the boat was at Aransas Pass, and the old owners took the chips with them (just a guess). The boat is open just a few days a week, and only for short cruises into federal waters. I'm guessing the chips won't show much wear at all. If I had the dough, I would buy these sight unseen for 50-60c each and feel pretty good. At $1.30 each plus BIN they are at market rate for used RHC Paulsons in good shape. Since you can't flip em, they need a buyer who will flip the extras to others for zero profit. Probably not going to happen.

The reviews are hysterical...

That’s it right there. They’re priced at the top of the market value. He might be able to get that price for 600 or 800 piece sets. But he’s not going to move a wholesale quantity at retail prices. Can’t blame him for trying, though, if it’s his first attempt at moving them.

I'm considering buying these and flipping them.
He might take $17600 for the 16000 chips.
I should have no problem getting a $1 / chip on re-sale.
That's only a 10% loss and since I normally lose 25% or more when I sell my chips, I figure I'll actually be making 15%.

Now I just need to borrow $17600.

If I hit the $400M lottery this week, I’m shopping this seller for a desk. Have you seen the furniture this guy is selling!?!?!

There’s a renaissance secretary desk that you could store 50,000 chips in and still have room for your iPad. You might spend a week looking for that particular set in the 100 different drawers and cubbies, but you’ll become familiar will each set every time! The desk is $100,000, but it is damn nice. He has smaller remaissance desks as well. An oval Art Deco table with a bidding line built into the top, only $20,000 if I recall. It’s actually nicer looking than it sounds. EVERYTHING is, “or Best Offer”.

Don't forget the 20,000$ for shipping

With $400M, I’ll tip the delivery driver $10,000. Well, maybe $5,000. There’s a lot of chips yet to be purchased.
Can I get a new Ferrari since we are going that route if so I'll pray you win , no lottery here in Hawaii

Mildly interesting considering the boat name.

Chips aren't ugly by any stretch but if I had 16K to drop on some chips there are better options. Maybe he breaks them up into smaller sets after a while.

The breakdown may not allow it...

With only 2,200x $1s, his hands are tied. He can really only make 4-5 playable sets, and then he’s stuck with all those higher denoms; those 6,000x 25s are killing him. It’s a tough spot to be in to try and unload these. Selling all at once is really his only move... from a max. profit standpoint, that is.

I’d say he’s got about $8,000-$10,000 in playable sets. The rest is just dead weight.

Well then we need to pool together about 8 k and make an offer on the lot, then split it up.

Thinking about splits/breakdowns... I wouldn’t offer him more than $6,500, with $8,000 being my personal max (including shipping), and not a penny more. But I’m for a solid contribution at that price if anyone wants to talk numbers in a PM.

I agree, I'd probably be down for a 1-2 table cash set if the price is right

Huh? Are you trying to build limit sets? I feel like you can get away with 200 $1’s in a single table set for any stakes.
I think he could easily build 10 sets at 200/500/x/x. But yeah, then he’s still stuck with a poop-load of $25’s.

I like the set, but so few 500's . I'll have to buy them all up and combine shipping ;)
Meh. Only thing it has going for it is the $500 on the inlay. Base color takes up far, far too much rolling edge real estate for the top denom in the set.
