Edit: it's just become clear to me that it's just a standard three way folding table cut into three, resting on another table.

That isn't bad actually. It is a 3 piece table topper. The top piece in the pic goes in the middle if you have a really big dining room table. Maybe use some Velcro straps or something like that to keep it from moving on the bottom.
