What is this device on a poker table? (4 Viewers)

Hello. I've seen this forum mentioned on many youtube videos and thought it would be a cool place to join.

I have a question that I've never been able to find an answer to. What is this device to the right of the dealer? It appears to hold a single poker chip laying flat.

And looks are deceiving that thing swallows hundreds of chips every night. It is a modern day torture device.

I have never seen a table like that but I have an idea…
Each seat has red and blue dots. Imagine you’re playing two live tables at the same time? I just can’t imagine what else it’d be used for.

I'm an American and that makes me say bloody hell. Sounds like an absolute nightmare. Borderline drawmaha hi-lo plo smorgasbord of a nightmare.
