Lead test for Lake Elsinore $4 chip (5 Viewers)

Going by the responses above this should crash the market price of these chips.
For what it’s worth, Paulson removed the lead color by color, over a period of years. So if you only swabbed the yellow spot, you don’t necessarily know anything about the lead content of the other two colors in that chip.

Fair enough point, I wasn't perfectly on the edge spot and tried a couple so I'm ok with the result for now. I'm wondering if the first test was dark from the dirt on the chip.

What I have left is to see if I can find out the issue date of the chip and cross reference it with Paulson's deleading timeline by colour (chipguide doesn't seem to have it), and to get in touch with some chemistry laboratories at the university to see if they can get me a more definitive answer (without destroying a chip).
 
I think all the lead-210 in the chips has finally become stable now after all these years.
It’s a close call, but I think there is no need to worry now. :tup:
