What colors would you use for my next custom chipset as the $0.25 and $25? I’m pretty set on Indian Blues as $1s and Peaches as $5. Then I have 20 of the Showboat/Darker Greys (with the Indian Blue, Peach, & Radiant Red edge spots) as my $100s. I have 50 more Black and 100 more Peaches on the way to complete the set plus another 70 Off-Whites not shown. So swapping chips around wouldn’t be an issue. Custom labels have been designed, but not printed out yet…themed as San Jose Sharks…white lettering, teal outline, and black background.

Options:
$0.25 as Off-Whites and $25 as Blacks
OR
$0.25 as Blacks and $25 as Off-Whites (thinking Peaches & Cream)

I would love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks,
Buck Mason

I'd stay traditional Black as $100. If you'll rarely get $100's in the game but want the black mixed in more then make them your frac

Could do cali colors and have a black 20.

However if you ever use hundreds and that grey is the 100, would make black the frac instead

$100s would get used in this set, but it would definitely be a rare occasion. That’s why I only got 20 with the edge spots to make the guys feel special when it’s on top of their stack (also can’t afford a rack or two of them at $4+ per chip 😂)

I think I’ll stick with blacks as my frac.

Black as $20s/$25s would be unique in this set, but the greys are for sure my $100s…so good call on the black fracs!

Cali black $20, otherwise the whole set is upside down 🙃.
Standard color progression:

Fine, it’s not upside down! But it is rotated 90 Degrees.
Joking aside, they look great together either way. Off-white will be even better. I think the colors will look awesome with your Sharks label!

I like simplicity, so one side will be the Sharks logo and the other just the denomination 👀

Also this may be a little out of the ordinary but do you really need $100 chips? For me if I have a set with $20 chips i like to make the next denomination $50 because that way it might actually get into play whereas $100 chips very rarely do for my games.

I favor this one to be honest.

Now I am not a lover of white chips in general, mainly because my experience is they show wear quicker than other colors. So using that as at 20 or 25 where these chips act more as a value store and doing black quarters that will get more frequent use makes sense to me. If this set isn't going to have a 100, I think a black quarter is less confusing than a black 25.

@BuckMason : Interesting for a fresh summer set, thanks ! Maybe a distinctive 43mm set with vibrant colors. In Europe, everybody starts with non-denom white/red/green/black, then denoms with brownish hotstamp (usually non-denom) for fracs.
Looking at your set, if you don't use the $100 that often, you can use the greys as hundreds and the blacks as fracs, non-denom on grey/black for flexibility.
