Are they the same quality? They look very very similar. I thought Barrington also made 84” tables

Looks similar, but this one looks like you need to assemble. The Barrington comes ready-to-go out of the box. Also, this one looks like it has 3 seams because of the way it is packaged before assembly. A topper is going to negate the seams on this or the Barrington, however.

I cannot speak to overall quality compared to the Barrington. Just making note of what I see within the product link.

I can’t speak to quality comparison as I only have a Barrington. Depending on how soon you’re looking to get a table, I had good luck (along with others) getting one on sale at Costco. If you go with the Amazon table, returns should be *relatively* easy if it’s not what you’re expecting…right?

Seems like they randomly move the price around. I scooped mine for $200, but it got as low as $100 a week or two later.

I was also convinced to go with this model after reading through a lot of this thread… it’s basically dozens of people here vouching for it, showing how to do modifications if desired (deep cupholders, LED strip changes, etc). Ain’t no REHKEEP admiration threads (or whatever the latest cheapest “brand” table on Amazon is)

Standard Barrington jumped up to $358.67 on Amazon, about a $70 increase. LED version is $399 from Walmart. Do I go LED if I want to order one today? Trying to play this weekend. Would have ordered the standard today but after that increase, the LED is in play.

Like many others, it took a little time for me to feel hopeful in taking on the task of upgrading my new table. But with the help of some great posts by @greedyintern, @RadicusScout & @dmoney, I gave it a shot. Installed new cupholders & upgraded to the Cob LED strip with a dimmer & battery pack. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out, it’s well worth the time..trust me!!

A small thing I would add to the cupholder removal process, is separating the foam first. I added a picture showing what I mean by that. After I took out the old cupholders, I simply ran my finger around the interior top side edge scraping back a half inch or so of the foam from the wood all the way around. This way it would already be separated once you make it through both pieces of wood. As long as you’re still cautious towards the end, you won’t have to worry about tearing any part of the foam off once you’re pulling the holesaw back out. Small thing I know but it worked well for me, maybe it can help the next guy.

Like I said, I’m extremely satisfied with how everything turned out. The new cupholders line up perfectly and are a perfect size in my opinion. Plus, there’s now no big risk of one my friends knocking their drink over every 10 seconds. The LED no longer blinds everyone at the table and is a smooth warm white that’s great for long sessions. I placed the new strip over the old & it worked perfectly. Purchased the strip, dimmer & battery pack off of the previous post recommendations from the members I mentioned. All that’s left is custom topper from @rjdev7. Sent a PM at the beginning of the month, but I hear how backed up he gets. Hopefully I’ll hear something soon.

First off, a huge thank you to everyone on this thread for sharing your experiences and tips—it honestly made this upgrade a breeze!

I’ve had my Barrington for about a year, and I was lucky enough to snag it last year during a Prime weekend sale for $150 (definitely one of my better impulse purchases). We’ve used it a handful of times, and while it’s a solid table, every poker night inevitably ends with at least one drink taking an unexpected dive onto the playing surface. Why? Those original cupholders are shallower than a baking sheet. This upgrade is an absolute must. I’m genuinely shocked deeper cupholders aren’t standard—especially on a table designed for people who tend to keep beverages within arm’s reach.

All the guides and feedback here are 100% spot on. In my case, the original cupholders came out very easily without any heating. I also enlisted my dad to help because I’m the least handy person in my family. I like to call it teamwork; he’d probably call it supervision

Drilling was straightforward with a 3.5" hole saw. We did have to remove the buckles and straps that secure the table from the top two holes and reattach them to the outside afterward, since they were mounted directly beneath the original cupholders. After drilling, we trimmed back the vinyl on the rail to about where the original cupholder sat to make room for the larger replacements. We also had to slightly elongate a few holes since the new cupholders were a very tight fit. Other than that, the process was simple and well worth the effort.

Overall, I’d consider this a must-have upgrade for anyone with this table. The deeper cupholders make a huge difference, and now I can focus on losing chips instead of saving drinks.

At this point, the only upgrade left to really make this table pop is a custom topper from RJDev. Once that’s in place, I’m pretty sure the table will look better than the poker being played on it.

I just found these 100% thick vachetta leather handles at my local hardware store, thinking this would be a good addition to the table to actually be able to carry it. plan on using some bolts, washers & nuts to secure it to the flat side part of the table.

I just grabbed one, in my head I was thinking how I would carry it, I've come to the conclusion that I would use one hand with that handle and my other hand bracing it underneath on the other end . almost same concept as those foldable tables if that makes sense.

Another option is getting an after market storage bag for your table. The Barrington bags that come with the table wear out pretty quick, and the zippers break. The after market bags have handles. Someone on this thread pointed me toward an after market bag and it's great. It has a big strap handle over the top, but even better is the smaller hand holds on the side for a 2 person lift.

I have the Hengme bag and I think the shoulder strap is the only way I could carry it.
What I think makes a handle difficult is the height of the table…you’re starting from a height that makes it tough. If you were lifting and carrying a heavy item with a handle that’s 18” off the ground, it’s easy. But with these tables, leaning down a bit, strapping it over your shoulder and standing up is much better, imo.
Even then, carry it alone only if you must. Otherwise, getting someone to assist is a HUGE help.
