Tommy Lloyd is not going to UNC unless his agents beckons and demands it to get his 8-10% cut of that 8-figure salary.
Pretty much how the player "NIL" deals work now. (Agent calls player: "So this is where you're playing next year because it's where I've brokered the best deal")
 
We are looking to build a new billion dollar arena. They are not going to skimp on the coach. Will pay whatever they need to. Then again UNC can fuck anything up.

I am hearing there is mutual interest. Billy Donovan also.

Will be interesting. High level coaches know and have learned that when that phone rings, if you don't pick it up it ain't ever ringing again.

This was a tragedy for my dad in his last two years. He passed away about two years ago and was a big sports fan. His favorite was the NFL. He could handle getting Sunday Ticket on Directv. When they moved to Youtube, he wasn't able to watch most of the time. He couldn't handle using an app on the TV and navigating it. My sisters and I weren't close enough to stop by every Sunday and get it going for him.

I can't remember who, but I heard a radio host ranting about this. He was trying to get a UFC event, and you have to know which app to use, etc. It was much easier when everything was on TV. Cable or Directv.

So you have to be dedicated. Being good with tech helps as well.

I’m pretty sure it violates the deal they have with the government that exempts their TV deals from the Sherman antitrust act, and that the NFL lawyers will only be able to push that off for so long.

Also, have you seen that they’re sending the Rams and Niners to play in Australia this year? There’s totally no need for that.

Goodell sucks.
 
At this point the Jordan vs LeBron vs Kobe GOAT conversation feels dead.

LeBrons career is so far beyond, there’s no one else in NBA to even compare it to. I feel like folks who previously put LeBron as the nba goat are like yeah that’s fine Jordan can have it.

LeBron has simply moved on to the greatest ever in all of US sports convo. I’d guess that convo is likely Brady/LeBron/Ohtani end of the day.

Josh, I love your posts and I know this one is 7 years old, but man, from one Cleveland person to another…fuck this organization. I’m hitting 60 years old on 5/3 and the decades of disappointment and torture from this club goes against the Geneva Convention. When I have to look back at one of the most exciting times of my life being landing 40 yd line, front row, upper deck at Muni Stadium against the Raiders in 1981 only to sit in 4 degree weather and get my heart ripped out by skipping a field goal and running Red Right 88.

And then there’s the pain of them moving to Baltimore and getting kicked in the proverbial balls for the past 26 years.

I can safely say I’m broken.
