It was a tale of two tables for sure. Old high school buddies at one and cutthroat gamblers at the other! But yes it was an exceptional day, thank you @Boother36!!
When it was all said and done my profit was just under Wedge’s, and I never rebought all day.
 
Another 1/2 Session
In for $220, out for $691

Building the wall...my Neighbor to the left is moving his "Wall" a little too close to mine...

Don’t play cash here all that often, but it was a fun session.

One of the local regs in Seat 2 was kind enough to inform me how badly I play. Naturally, he was talking about a hand he lost to me.

Here’s the hand:

Seat 2 was in the big blind and raised to $15 preflop after I had limped for $2 with J♠8♠ from middle position. Two other players called the $15 as well. Seat 2 had AQo. 60 in the pot

The flop came with a queen and two spades ( :9s: ::2s:). He had flopped top pair, top kicker, and I had flopped a live, frisky flush draw.

He bet $20 on the flop, I called with the spade draw, one other player came along, and another folded. Three players to the turn. 120 in the pot.

The turn was the 8♥. Now I had picked up a pair to go with the flush draw. With about $120 in the pot, Mr. Seat 2 fired out $25 - a charming little bargain-bin wager, not even a quarter-pot. At that price, with a pair and a flush draw, I’m basically being sent an engraved invitation to continue. So I called. 170 in the pot

The river was the J♦.

And then came the masterpiece.

With roughly $170 in the pot, he led for $15. Fifteen. Dollars. Into one hundred seventy. I still don’t know whether it was a timid blocker bet, a nervous value bet, or just poker performance art. But I did know one thing: I had not called the earlier streets just to arrive at the river and politely flat his tiny little offering when I hit my hand - pretty hard as I say. If I’m going to take the scenic route, I want the full tour package.

So I raised to $85. A nice number - if he has top pair - he might call - if he has 2 pair he will defiantly call - and I will probably loose, because his 2 pair should include a Queen, but the value of what I might loose - is within the percentages of my hand strength compared to the pot size is, based on Combos he and I might have (from his pre flop raise) and SPR (although that is a discussion for later)-if he somehow has a straight or set of Queens - he will/should raise, another tell about his hand strength, and I might fold.

He went deep into the tank, looked me over, looked at my ridiculous Glass coke-bottle and my gloriously questionable Bad News Bears / Chico’s Bail Bonds baseball jersey, and apparently decided I must be bluffing. That’s my working theory, anyway.

He called. showed AQo

So yes, according to the distinguished critic in Seat 2, he stated how bad and terrible I play terribly. Conveniently, that opinion was delivered right after he paid me off. Poker truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

I then commented - "I never said I was good...as evident by this wall - which now contains many of your chips..." ( said with a Smile on my face :) ).

Everyone at the table Laughed - Even the Dealer - well - one person did not Laugh...
Then he commented - "it did not matter how much he bet on the streets - I still would have called - because that is the kinda of player I am"

I will never tell him - that if he bet more Preflop - or if he bet more on the Flop or the turn or the river - or raised my river bet - I would have seriously considered and probably folded the hand..

Got one. Short stack, 7500, went all in. I look down at :ah::9h: and call.

No other callers. He shows 7,7.

I hit a 9 on the turn and got him. Not quite a double up, but a welcome boost.

After that, I was aggressive and was able to steal the blinds several times until, two short of the bubble, I ran into the big stack when I raised with :ac::qc:.

He shoved. I guessed he might be doing that with a wide range and called. He showed 10,10.... which held.
 
Managed to sneak in 4 sessions of 5/5/10 PLO at the local in the past few months. Some stack pics. 2 solid wins of $1700 and $1300, one break even session, and a -$900 losing session. The game gets crazy on Fridays for sure, but I was fortunate/unfortunate?? to be card dead when the table captains were going at it.

1 session at a card club nearby, this time 5/5 NLHE. Pretty nice game here with plenty of action. Ran very well this time and I was in for $1500 to begin and out for $3400.
