Major usability improvement for mobile devices

I've released a change to the mobile interface that I think is going to make the tool much easier to use on touch devices: On mobile, slider controls now have large +/- buttons next to the value that allows fine adjustments to the numbers without using the finicky slider.

And in case folks don't know: on desktop you can use the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to make fine adjustments when you have a numeric text field selected. (This has been there since the beginning, but not sure...

Amazing program!!

I’ve been working on a set and I have a question…

When I upload a file for the center that the exact size (25MM) it doesn’t fill the center up.

Also, for some reason today, when I tried to send a link I got this

Hm, that's weird. I'll look into your error message. I might send you a DM to ask for me details if you don't mind.

As for the inlay upload, it's important that the artwork doesn't have any extra space between the art and the edge of the canvas. I've attached an example. The circles are the same size in each image, but in the "bad" file there is extra spacing around the circle.

Well it was working perfect last night. Event he label filled the center. Now I’m getting this again. No biggie right now as I’m still working ion the label art but I don’t know if this link is what I need to share with Justin. Thanks for the help!

So yeah, you will need that link to share with Justin. I think we'll be able to figure out what's going wrong, I just haven't had a chance to dig into it. Sorry for the inconvenience, and definitely hope to have it fixed soon!
 
No need to be sorry! Thanks to you we have this amazing tool to work with. If it wasn’t for this tool, I wouldn’t even be ordering another set of chips!! it’s because of the ability to design different edge spots and colors that convinced me I needed another set 😂

I just wanted to be sure it wasn’t something on my end. I have until the 5th I guess
 
It actually convince my buddy (poker friend for 25 years, but not on this form and not really into chips) that he wanted a cash and tourney set as well. I think the order will be over 3000 chips!

QuietMaple updated Chipmatic Studio (a poker chip design tool) with a new update entry:

Added library of "Standard" spot patterns; and no longer in "BETA"!

The main update for today is that I've added the ability to add Spot Patterns from a standard library of patterns. This includes all of the standards (like 218, 4D14, 4V12, etc.) that folks are familiar with. I'm hoping this feature will be helpful for folks who are a little intimidated by the big list of sliders. You can filter the list to quickly compare options, and you'll still be able to customize these patterns once added to a chip as usual.

Is there any chance of adding negative numbers to the Bloat slider? I have a set of chips I designed awhile back that have flares in the spots, so being able to pull the edges in to form concave shapes would help a lot.

Yeah that should totally be possible. I think there is just a little bit of edge case logic that I would need to implement to protect against the edges of the shape overlapping, but shouldn't be terribly hard.
 
I changed my chips from last time I had asked opinions of them, not much changed but some stuff did. Let me know what yall think, they are in production now, really hoping they come out bright.

Added new Inlay Template -- "Stacked"

The text, colors, fonts, and text sizing is all customizable just like all the other inlay templates. Next features I work on will likely be adding the ability to go negative on edge spot bloat sliders, and then I'm going to experiment with rendering many chip stacks at once in a sort of "showcase" mode that should hopefully give folks an even better idea of what their set would look like on a table.

Does anyone have an inlay template they can share to use in Chipmatic? I’m having a tough time getting the image size correct for the upload.
 
Hi @Rock31 ,
The requirements for the inlay upload are:
  • Upload a square image
  • The image should be at least 300x300 pixels
  • Your artwork should be cropped such that it comes up to the edges of the square.
I've attached an example of a good inlay image to this post, and an example of a bad example.
And here is a Chipmatic link so that you can see what these each look like once uploaded: https://chipmaticstudio.com/share/nOFanT4XgjvkakSD8IMjG

The "good" image fills the whole square, so it fits perfectly in the center of the chip.
The "bad" image has lots of extra background, so the inlay is positioned off in the corner.
