Sitting Out
What is the best way to get a barrel of 1s from a casino in Vegas. They usually tell you to color up when u leave. I’ve seen people say going to the cafe but just curious what the best way is to go about this?
Pretty much this. They will suggest for you to color up, but you can just stand up and leave with them.I just say I’m taking these with me.
It doesn't always work, but I've gone to the cage when things are quiet and asked nicely. A tip at the start of the transaction never hurts.
The best way is to win them!best way to get a barrel of 1s from a casino in Vegas.
I don’t think so. I would guess they’re costing casinos $1.50+Nowadays are buying dollar chips from the cage an instant profit for the casino any more?
That’s what I was figuring.I don’t think so. I would guess they’re costing casinos $1.50+
Table games often have 40 or less $1s. They color up to keep more chips in the till, and avoid needing a fill called in for low value chips. The reason they want to color up is so they don’t have to count out 20 - $1s when cashing you out. If you just say you’re keeping them for a collection, nobody cares.
The cashiers at Cosmo would vehemently deny your assertion here...I have had ZERO issue from every casino EXCEPT the Cosmo. Pocketed a few nice $25's and 2 $100's at the blackjack table to take home for my game and the dealer went out of her way to let the pit boss know what I bought in for and approximately how much I put into my pocket. Total a$$clowns.Go to the cage and ask them. Ask for the nicer ones. This isn’t some kind of grand smuggling act.
Places with poker rooms and limit games were always the best.I got a few racks of Binion's a while back. I went to the cage and told them I was getting them for my home game. The cashier helped me cherry pick two racks. It was very quick cherry picking, but still. I did give him a good tip.
If they won't sell them to you at the cage, bring a backpack or get a bag from one of the shops. I doubt anyone cared, but I did roll up some chips into a t-shirt (to prevent noise) that I carried in a small bag.
