Good stick.
Good stick.
This may or may not have been asked here before, but I’ll go ahead and embarrass myself anyway.
I’ve technically smoked cigars in the past—by that I mean once in a very pale blue moon—so I’m basically a beginner who knows just enough to cut and hold one the right way (most of the time). Lately, I’ve had a random craving to get into cigars a bit more seriously and figured this would be the right place to ask.
I’m looking for a few recommendations that aren’t too heavy and would be friendly for someone just starting out. I’ll be in Pasadena next week and usually stop by Cigars by Chivaz with my brother-in-law, so I can run any suggestions by the owner and go from there.
Thanks in advance.
Well, I might get some hate for recommending this cigar because of the price, but my first cigar was the Davidoff No.2, and I still smoke it to this day. This may or may not have been asked here before, but I’ll go ahead and embarrass myself anyway.

Buy this and don't look back. It's like going from China Clays to Paulsons. https://www.cigarpage.com/best-of-my-father-ultimate-6-cigar-collection.html
See - it only took 1 post.Well, I might get some hate for recommending this cigar because of the price, but my first cigar was the Davidoff No.2, and I still smoke it to this day.
Cigars are like other preferences; once you try the good stuff, you no longer like the cheap stuff. Edit, although I still go cheap because my cigar habit ain't cheap.

If you’re interested in jumping right into the deep end I’d highly recommend giving this sampler from TampaSweethearts.comHad a Herrera Esteli for the first time this past weekend and was instantly one of my favorites (taste and burn were fantastic). Was told the red labels are even better, so that's the next stick I'll be buying/trying out. (I'm no connoisseur as an FYI.)
