If you were playing a Dealer’s Choice cash game for an evening, where you could freely choose between No-Limit Hold’em, Big-Bet Omaha variants, or Fixed-Limit ‘Circus’ games, how would you set the blinds or small/big bet structure for each?

Assumtions
- you play normaly $1/$1 NL Holdem with an average stack of +/- 200 BB.
- you want similar monetary swings.

Personally we make it a full FL or PL night, my apes could not wrap their heads around the change in betting. We enjoyed PL everything; NLHE played smaller but PL 7 card stud can be brutally fun.

In tournaments, blinds for NL and PL are usually the same, with limits usually around 4x that. For 1/1 NL, many would probably suggest 1/1 PL and 2/4 FL. I’ve only played fixed limit anything once though, so I don’t have any serious firsthand experience.

I think it’s important to keep in mind that tournaments are played very differently because of ICM considerations.

I played a handful of fixed-limit Circus Game sessions where everyone bought in with a rack equal to 25 big bets. It was rare for anyone to need a rebuy.

Circus games are designed to be Fixed Limit.

Unless you have a say 45 of 'us' all together, no normal is going to draw in Archie $90 on the second draw even if they are drawing to 1234.

PL games play better .5/.5, also simplifies for the host and players.
