I've seen 100 worse house molds than the WSOP mold. It's no original Excalibur, but it's pretty good.

I can’t take it. That mismatched clashing inlay is without exaggeration the worst inlay I’ve ever seen on any chip. The mold is good, the colors are great, it’s got great history, and the color matched inlay matching the WRONG SET takes the whole chip from great to terrible. I’d rather play with the WPT Wynn Chipcos that have the obnoxious “chipco” on the rolling edge. If these posts are satire then ok but otherwise I dunno what we’re doing here, those chips blow. Please, all the owners, murder mercy kill the inlays and do a proper relabel. /rant

In truth, I initially wasn't a huge fan of the WSOP mold chips. However, I realized that, for a PCFer, they might actually be the coolest of the bunch. I mean, without PCF, the WSOP molds don't even exist. As I understand it, they were rushed into existence as a direct result of the Boat NAGB, specifically the creation of the ESST set, which "borrowed" the colours and edge spot designs of the Rio WSOP secondary chips.
Once the WSOP was made aware of this and realized that their chips were potentially compromised, they removed the secondaries from play and Paulson had to replace them with something new in short order. The inlays from the WSOP molds appear to have been simply re-used from the older secondaries.
At face value, a mis-match for sure. But, knowing the backstory, it's a cool link and a neat piece of history between the WSOP and PCF.

Initially, I was not knocked out by them but, the more time I spent with them, the more I have come to really like them. Main events are my true love, but I wouldn’t kick the WSOP’s outta bed for eating crackers…

We've gone past the T25 starting stacks and are beginning to embrace T100 starting stacks.
You've vaulted past all that and went straight to the T5k starting stacks!
IMO the secondaries should have been how WSOP/RIO should have monetised their branding partnership in collaboration with GPI Paulson. Made set’s available ever year for attendees or fans in the home market. Heavy WSOP RIO branding but not to detract from the Primaries in play each.
This IMO is positive monetising of brand partnership that is win for all, many industries fail at understanding this and usually never capitalise on the partnership or go too cheap with low quality merch.
Imagine the NBA only producing cheap rubber basketballs to the public. Yes I know Nevada gaming regulates things, not an excuse IMO brand deals are worth a fortune and that’s why US has lobbyists. Lol
