In! Has anyone picked Drawmadugi yet?
No idea what this is called but my uncle taught me one over Christmas that his group plays. If I remember correctly, it’s a triple board Omaha. You can play the board horizontally or vertically. If you play horizontally, it’s 2 from your hard, 3 on the board. If you play vertically, it’s 3 from your hand and 2 on the board. They also play it high lo. I’m calling it uncle-ha
Yeah so you’d be locked into picking either row 1,2 or 3 or column 1,2,3,4 or 5. Each board is played normally (flop, turn, river). Limit betting. They don’t usually have a huge group, maybe 6 players max so they don’t have to worry about running out of cards. Pretty sure you need a degree in quantum mechanics to figure out the math with this hahaInteresting… When played vertically, I’m assuming you are locked into using the specific cards from 1 of the 5 columns (ie. your “board” is ONLY the cards from column 1, -or- column 2, -or- column 3, etc.) ?
*****
3 boards = 18 cards shown / burned
That leaves 34 cards = 8 handed play
Only 2 cards left in the stub.
I’m not sure, but it seems that with so many cards exposed many of your opponents’ possible hands could be eliminated and there wouldn’t be much bluffing. And at the same time, nutted hands are ranked even higher than normal.
The math hurts my head… but curiously, I want to try this game!
With all due respect to your uncle, I think I would call this game Oma-Cross at my house.
Oh sorry I had to name a specific game. Big O. Definitely would like to expand the current circus.Texas Hold'em isn't a qualifying circus game! We'll give you the only pass
Well, let's see how it goes. I just got these in, so I wanna play test these a little bit and make changes
You took off on that game!
Popcorn is crazy; there are actually 2 versions of it, and the one that is out there, I don't think anyone has seen the 'auctions' on it, crazy stuff.
I'm not sure if you've ever been to the Midwest or hung out with some Hoosiers, but I found it a more enjoyable spelling, and easier for degens 'round here to pronounce.
I like to say it as you would to a kid, 'Choo Choo,' or Germans say Tschuss (good bye) - Maybe I should title it 'Badugi (bah-DOO-gee)', hoping to see how this goes over in my play test. I'll likely be boring and title it "Badugi." I don't know, I have a 'Jawaha' card. I did the same, but with artwork, and it didn't really go over well. I was thinking it's likely because of the game, not so much the name.
Bro, I gotta show you Drawmaha Zero, Drawmaha49, Sviten, and Route 66...all variations of drawmaha with nice twists to them.Dramaha
