@Okku You should really change the "be real" avatar...it makes no sense with how obtuse this whole group buy has been...nothing even close to real. It's tilting just seeing that avatar above your name and doesn't make any sense at this point unless you have some sort of story for it.

My favorite part of this thread the whole year is the many attempts of people trying to insult, complain or perhaps get a reaction out of OP, only for him to just look right past and keep on keeping on. I recall him only engaging a couple times, but otherwise he has stuck to it and I find the neglect toward the attempts hilarious and refreshing for an internet forum. That isn't to say I disagree with the complaints, but OP's (mostly) indifference to the squeaky wheels is quite entertaining, and I will be sad when it is over.

See this is the type of stuff I'm talking about with the updates. You guys want updates, I give you updates and get the same reaction everytime.

I've started shipping packages out and they'll start arriving to everyone within a week. I got about 10 or so out, and I'm packing more to go out today and tomorrow. I can't package all possibly over 60 or so packages in a single day.

This isn't my job. I have a day job, two kids, a life and so on. I get this has taken far longer than anyone wanted, but as I stated previously I will finish it and you all will get your cut cards.
 
I'll never wish it on anyone, but I can't wait for a lot of you to be bogged down by a family emergency, sick child, parent, illness or injury of their own so there can be a little bit of empathy.

I suppose I have a unique perspective because this has happened to me (son was born at 34 weeks and spent a month in the hospital while I was trying to wrap up a master's degree and associated clinical hours and buying a house ans moving all at the same time).

No one outside of my immediate family saw me for over 3 months while all this was going on. I took FMLA for two weeks to see my son at the hospital from 8am to 8pm every day and finished up my clinical hours on weekends when one would suspect I would have some down time. Would have taken more time but my ass went back to work because we couldn't afford a mortgage and rent on an apartment lease we weren't let out of if I was out of work.

Oscar posted photos of the cards in hand. We're not being scammed. Fucking chill out. They're cut cards.
 
I would honestly just stop updating/posting for them/us. Just for your own mental well being.

In complete fairness, I think the frustration comes from folks asking for meaningful updates.

When 50% of the posts in the thread were lies, it prob doesn’t excite folks to hear cards arrive Dec 18, and they were going out starting Friday, then done by Monday, then all labels were done the next week, then the rest were getting packed up and shipped Jan 2, and now they’ve started to go out today.

It has been truly amazing seeing so many people publicly out themselves as complete and total losers in this thread. I mean if you get bent out of shape over some credit card sized pieces of plastic that cost $1.50 each then you quite obviously aren't winning at life. Anyone still complaining about this group buy seriously needs to go outside and touch some grass (or snow depending on where they live), reevaluate their life choices and priorities, and maybe think about talking to a shrink. Good grief. LOL

I know where you are coming from, but as someone who has run many enormous group buys over the past few years, this one has been pretty ridiculous. I understand that there were issues with files, the quantities and menu options are outrageous, things happened personally to Oscar that just plain sucked, and other things that were great but sucked up his time. But given all of that, he was asked multiple times if he needed help to complete this project and get it over the finish line. He rejected all offers, which is his prerogative. I admire his determination. But sometimes you need to realize when you are treading water versus when you are drowning. If you're drowning, take hold of the life preserver that is thrown to you. No one will fault you for it once things get back to normal.
 
And the cost involved is irrelevant IMO. It doesn't matter if someone has $10 invested in this group buy or $1000. Statements were made, and things were reported, but as time passed those things were found not to be true. I've had many good interactions with Oscar, but I think even he would agree that he missed the mark on this one.

People want updates that are not lies. Its not very complicated. People complained when you gave a false in production update back in August then did it again in September. And somehow still haven't learned and keep giving these deadlines that have yet to be met even just one time.

I think every grown adult in this thread can understand life can creep up and take priority. But you continue to give these updates that are completely false. This group buy is about to hit the one year anniversary next week, everyone knows this is way behind schedule, just be honest. It really isn't too much to ask for.

Just curious if any cards failed quality control and needed to be redone or sent back to manufacturer?
