How long do you want it to last? How experienced or interested is your group. Is this for fun, or competitive? These things make a difference in addition to your chip setup.
I used something like this when we used to play Tourneys. We knew we wanted to run 2 over an evening, and just set it from there. Was easy as at the time we just had NVC chips.

I was asking because i'm looking to buy my first set but don't want small denominations & Chris manzoni's chip breakdown makes sense to me. 80x 25 + 80x 100 + 80x 500 + 60x 1000 + 40x 5000. table doesnt get cluttered with 1's & 5's & 10's. Looking for the tiki's or dia del los muertos to start. Don't have a "budget".
