Tourney Home game setup (1 Viewer)

How long do you want it to last? How experienced or interested is your group. Is this for fun, or competitive? These things make a difference in addition to your chip setup.

Sort of awkward, but it could work. Assuming those are stacks of 25, you could start blinds at .50/1, with starting stacks of $200.

Starting stacks for 8 would be:
.50 x 6
1 x 12
5 x 12
25 x 5

Should be plenty for rebuys and color ups.

Sorry they are stacks of 20, but yeah that’s a good start. Yeah I though Mr it was awkward with the .50 chips

Newcommer here, why would you have less of the smaller denominations? 6x 0.50 but 12x 1$ & 12x 5$?

That was my recommendation based on the breakdown of his set. Although I can always make a case for fewer of the smallest denomination in a cash or tournament.

I was asking because i'm looking to buy my first set but don't want small denominations & Chris manzoni's chip breakdown makes sense to me. 80x 25 + 80x 100 + 80x 500 + 60x 1000 + 40x 5000. table doesnt get cluttered with 1's & 5's & 10's. Looking for the tiki's or dia del los muertos to start. Don't have a "budget".

Assuming you’re playing single-table tourneys, that is the most efficient breakdown. I’d expand to handle two tables just to future-proof it.
