Have we finally reached market saturation?? (5 Viewers)

But my default bottom line is that if stuff isn’t selling, it’s priced incorrectly. Sometimes you have to take a loss, if you want to sell when the market is saturated.
This. People are looking to buy every day, if the price is right they will.

In addition to Tina's changing the market at the entry level, so did releases like the Tiger's and Agave's adjust it at the mid - higher level.

So many good options right now.

1. I couldn't sell my BCC MGK molded hotstamp set despite three attempts last year. I offered them to a Texas local for below my purchase price and no dice.

I know it’s yours and no offense, just my take. Like trks, the best of bcc demands top dollar, but the rest don’t. Idk what would push this so far above say the tmold tourney, but to boot the breakdown wouldn’t work at any game I’ve played since joining PCF and you can’t get more.

Idk market, but 650ish chips at $2100ish is prob $1k more than I’d entertain.

Now if the breakdown worked for my game and I was from Texas or a cowboy, I think it works, but it’s just a very specific set for $3+ a chip, plus I know I’m never able to resell.
2. @horseshoez has an ad for two ready made mixed cash sets, both THC that have been sitting for over two months

Rarely do people want others preselected mixed sets. This is basically a rack sale. I don’t know any of these chips or market, figured I’d search one. Did the fracs since thst seemed easy. Couldn’t find any sales. Moved to the MO 25s.

Search showed multiple wanted ads at $700 a rack, sale at $700 a rack. Horseshoe has em at $750. I’m not going to go through line by line, picked at random, and sure fine chip for someone actively looking for said chip, but uhhhh….no that’s not some great value sitting.

I can do the next three later. But so far I’m def not seeing these great mid tier value sales sitting youre referencing

fwiw I don’t mean this response to sound so shitty/shade throwing.

All chips mentioned are great, I think my response just shows how subjective it all is.

With how hungry active chippers are to either a) make a buck or b) buy something knowing they won’t get screwed when reselling, I just don’t ever see an objectively well valued listing sitting.

I say this as someone who probably averaged buying/selling 4 sets a month for literal years, and have completely quit now. The value isn’t there, and the losses are too costly.

Agreed on that BCC set. Despite being a rare goat mold (that most don’t even realize to begin with), they are hyper specific in regards to theme and also breakdown that can’t reasonably be added on to which eliminates a big chunk of people that might have been potential buyers.

I think you need to be a UT fan for those longhorn BCCs, they are really niche.
That's very fair.

@Josh Kifer can defoil and restamp chips. That's probably the route I'm going at this juncture.

They're on a mold and are manufactured by a company that doesn't exist anymore. Very similar to leaded THC molded casino chips. There are no more of these getting made

Figured that would be well worth the price tag but who knows.

Those longhorns are an awesome set and I'm speaking from having played with them at JMC's place.

Vivid colors and all go great together. And you could just like the restaurant chain too, just saying.

Just keep ‘em. You never take a loss if you never sell. Idk if Josh does stamp work on anything other than Paulsons. It is a sick set to be sure.

Hey hey hey. There's a difference between a playable breakown and a PCF must have 5+ racks of fives and barrels of hundreds that will rarely get in play breakown.
Two and a half racks of fives and a total bank of $2700 will work fine for most .25/.50 games I've played.

Right, but the fact that it’s not ideal and can’t really be added on to eliminates a good chunk of potential buyers

It's the breakdown imo. Just a hint off. But god is it a looker of a set.

I didn’t state the chip breakdown isn’t fine for most .25/.50 games you’ve played? I think I said it wouldn’t work for any of the ones I played?

Which means the chip set as it stands is useless for a not small portion of PCF .25/.50 and up.

And it was the first example up in great middle tier valuable classifieds sitting. You should go grab it!

Don't get me wrong, I love the colors and the mold. I don't know the cost of removing and restamping. You might try including the cost of restamping as part of your sale. I've never looked into the cost of stamping so I don't know how practical it is.
