How come nobody's making $2 chips??? Got my eyes open for some good used Paulsons or some new ceramics with a color that pops. Let's bring mixed games back!

I have 1400 x $2.00 chips!

If only we had $2 chips to play with, then we could bring mixed games back.

Leaded or unleaded?
I don't know how to make that determination. If I had to guess, they're probably leaded since they're more or less in the same style of other leaded chips from that era. But I can't state one way or the other with any certainty.

Maybe if a more experienced chipper like @BGinGA, @DrStrange, or @detroitdad could chime in I might be able to give you a better answer.

As I recall, the biggest appeal of the Elsinore chips was that they were leaded. But I’ve never touched one, so grain of salt.

Feel like I remember there are both leaded and less-leaded(?)…
Yup. Now that you mention it, I remember somewhere in the 40+ pages of the chiproom sale announcement, some guy posted some very specific numbers about years and percentages of leaded and partially leaded chips. I think it was the first time I'd ever heard about partially leaded, and I was pretty skeptical. But upon reflection of my experience with leaded chips, it actually made a lot of sense.

I’m fueled by coffee and affirmative…thank you for the pick me up.

It is very hard to tell about lead if you don't know. That is one reason why people post pictures of their chips on scales - leaded chips are heavier.

Thanks for chiming in. They weighed in at around 9g apiece... but they are quite worn and fit 21 to a standard rack. It's probably reasonable to say their factory weight was closer to 10g (yes I realize these aren't the hex inlays shown in the ad - but they're all basically the same).

Just added some $2’s to our home game and they have been a crowd favorite.

It seems to me 2/4 is the go to limit set up for many folks around here, I would've thought 1/2 would be the dominate home game version. Given usual low stakes buy-ins does that play more like .25/.50 or .50/1 NL?
