Hey everyone — looking for help identifying these old clay chips stamped “GO.”
I picked these up in a mixed vintage lot and they look/feel like earlier-era clay. The chips are:
I’m wondering if these might be tied to an illegal club, social club, or private gambling room from the 1930s–1940s, since a lot of initials-only hot-stamps from that era came from unlicensed operations.
If anyone recognizes the mold, the font, the region, or knows of any clubs with the initials G.O., I’d really appreciate any insight.
Thanks in advance — excited to learn what these might be.
