Nominate your candidates for the best red chip ever made! Casino, custom, fantasy; Ceramic, clay, plastic; if the chip has red as a dominant color and you think its the best red chip of all time, post a picture of it here.

Notes: Pink and Multi-color will be their own category. So no half and quarter pies that share with a non-red color.

Radiant red, watermelon, carnation all count for this category. Dayglo tiger will go to orange.

Identical chips will compete on inlay so post away.

Some initial nominations to start us out.

Then we'll have to find out which one! Then get it seeded against the other 11 color champs.

I would include it, but knowing everyone here it would win the whole thing as a joke. Lol

Even Hellen Keller could see that these takr it hands down.
Yeah but Helen Keller also believed that children with disabilities should be euthanized

It’s interesting to me that the first 4 chips you posted (and the only Paulson clays) are NAGB chips.
I guess these are the chips that newer PCFers see most? Maybe because so many older chippers have either disappeared or faded into the background, taking their chips with them?
Times change, I guess.

Time has changed A LOT since CT days....some of it good and some of it bad.
Reality is that a lot of OG chips went to hoarders and those members that faded into the background.

So while many of the old school chippers grail chips are full original, leaded, shaped inlays and/or from iconic, long gone casino.
The younger generation mainly know these chips from pr0n threads...but hard to love what is not known (due to pricing & availab. of these chips).

Another reality is that the Tiger NAGB brought some spectacular chips to the market.

I don't know about GOAT, but here's one for the kids.

I get to play with 43mm leaded, textured, shaped inlay $5's. I can't think of any others that exist in quantity. I love them, but I'd hesitate to nominate them as goat, mostly because they're house mold and their edge spots aren't compelling.

I completely forgot baccarat chips, that’s great choice!

And yes WSOP chips are always pro!

I think you're on to something here. But I will also say that if a TP chip isn't among the finalists for many if not most categories, it would suggest the competition isn't serious. A collection where so many individual chips so successfully reflect some of the best and most influential design trends of the last 60+ years is just going to make things tough. Now, whether or not it's fair for the chip that set high mark 50 years ago to compete with the one standing on the original's shoulders, that's another debate.
