Details: Cut Cards from Plastic Printers

Cost: $0.61 USD per card, + tax and shipping/reshipping. $20 per design (version fee). No fee or cost difference for poker size vs bridge size (die 3522 and die 2535).

Minimum Total Order Per Person: 200 cards

Minimum Total Cards Per Design: 50 cards

Soft Deadline for Submission: Mid-ish December, no hard timeline

If you have never created/submitted/etc. artwork, hire a designer. I will not work on a design, transfer file types, etc. I will not be approving proofs, I will forward those to you for approval.

I’m looking to see if any other INDIVIDUAL(S) also need a bulk order (200+), to piggy back on mine. I'm happy to submit, collect, and disperse, but I will not handle any updates to artwork or issues of that nature. I've submitted orders to Plastic Printers each year for the past 3-4 years, and utilizing a designer have never had issue.

As of last year, their "rush order" pricing was $50. I don't know if that escalates based on order size, but anything around that price I'll pay out of pocket. Rush orders have typically been done within a week, and given the size of this order/$ involved, I'd rather have the product in hand somewhat quickly after we submit payment.

Bear with me but how much $ would one save from the regular 10 or 100 pricing?

I'll need a little time, but I might be in for 100 / 150ish - depends on the details, can I submit multiple designs in my order?

What do you do with 200 cut cards?
I think it’s any combination of 200 is my guess
I run somewhere between 25-100 per design.

It’s expensive af upfront when ordering, but then you have freebies that will last (meetup, home games, shove in outgoing sales).

I used to always drink when playing and would give out singles and ish, breaking racks/barrels and sometimes difficult to replace. WAAAAYYYY cheaper to hand off cards.

I’m not quite sure. Pricing seems all over.

Last year you had to get to 100 cards just to get under $3 a card, but somehow at 250 cards it was $1.60 a card.

I’ve reached out to both PP and 2 other people that ordered from them to ensure I get the best price offered on my order here.

Yeah, something in reason though. Not like 15 designs.

No worry on timing. 2 folks interested via pm and need to do their designs too. I’m just now getting my designs together.

I don’t think we’ll have any issue reaching 1k. I’ll fill the order to get us to whatever the “next” reasonable price break.

It might be "only an extra $100" to get 150 more cut cards but also consider tha they do the same trick with soda "only an extra 30c for a large" and fries "upgrade to a large for 1.50". If 100 cards is already a lot dont jump on 250 unless its needed otherwise its a waste of $100 imo.

Its good that ur selling the space though.

Nah, always need. I’m pretty much out of all my previous years’ buys.

Honestly if I could afford it I’d just buy like 5k+ cut cards, put em in my closet, and never have to worry about ordering again.

This is all I have left currently and will probably go through most in upcoming sales:

Where can I get the vendor templates?

If you are willing to re ship to Iceland I could probably commit to 200-500

Just a quick update as we have a mix of interest posted here and privately.
  • I'm not in a rush to submit, but if interested please have serious interest only as I'm only personally going to handle up to 10 or so folks orders' and if you don't have designs, please get in contact with your designers now.
  • Please use a designer if you're doing this. I personally have 0 technical design skills and won't be fixing things. I've always used a designer, and can just hand off the .ai files or whatever they are straight to PlasticPrinters and we're off.
  • I just reached out to PP when creating this thread. I will update everyone individually on PP's expectation for timing and costs. My hope is to hit whatever price break comes after the $1.50 mark, and if they're willing to come close to approaching $1 per card I would submit an order for 1k+ cards just myself. Fingers crossed.
Thanks and feel free to post or pm a question.

Interested!
Would be 200 or even more.
Just let me know here or via pm if you need anything, or/if when you're ready with designs.

That's not a problem. Dependent on the timing of order and delivery, I can likely have my spouse assist by bringing them overseas and shipping from EU office. Not guaranteed, but likely - otherwise could reship to you directly from here.

@BarrieJ3 is there a minimum qtt per design/version?
I got 3 designs in 2 variations each, and 2 sizes.
(12 different cards in total)

Would need someone help me to just convert my .psd files in .ai
I use a very old PS version without acces to AI - thanks a lot! @designers_on_PCF

I have a design ready and would be interested in pricing for 200bridge & 200poker.

No rush here. And artwork is 100% ready to go.
Awesome, if you want you can shoot over design files over to [email protected].

I would love to help, but realistically trying to keep this as streamlined as possible. 12 designs, unless doing like 100 cards a piece, feels like potential complexities. This might be better suited for the next PCF wide group buy, I think there's another one coming up. Plus Okku can actually help you himself with the file conversions and any touch ups that might be needed after the fact!

Ok - makes sense to me.
One design x 100 is a lot!
Go on!

UPDATE - Who I previously utilized isn't in the same role, so new contact answered my additional outreach today. Please note this is not a dig at the cut card group buy, but Plastic Printers in my experience is an awesome vendor and always same day response.

And holy jeepers, price sure is cheap if we were running just 1 single design on 1 die  :ROFLMAO:

Here's an excerpt of their response:
  • QTY 2,500: $0.61 USD per card, $1,515 USD total (plus tax + shipping)
  • QTY 5,000: $0.49 USD per card, $2,435 USD total (plus tax + shipping)
Pricing will obviously be a bit more as we're utilizing 2 dies (bridge & poker) and running a couple different designs, but this gets us an idea. It does look like we'd have a solid shot at $1 or less per card, which is so awesome compared to what I've paid before!

I'd ask for anyone else interested, please have a large amount of cards per design, like around that 100+ number.

Whatever number we end up at in a week or two, I'll order enough personally to push us to the 2,500 number.

2nd update - all good news!

No price difference for utilizing both dies (poker and bridge sizes) and the same reduced $20 per design fee.

Which means even after tax, at 2,500 cards we’re paying less than half price compared to any other cut cards including my previous years’ purchases!

If anyone else needs a couple hundred cut cards, now’s the time!

I'm contacting my designers but I would assume Im at 4-6x 100 if I can get the artwork before you guys order.

Any update on ordering for this one?
2 of the pending 3 have designs ready to go (mine is in there as well).

So now we're down to one last person/design who I'll ping today and get a gauge of where they're at. So definitely looks like we're on track to submit mid December.
