Hey everyone. I used to be pretty active on ChipTalk back in the day. During that time, I amassed about 3,100 Paulson Pharaoh's Club and Casino chips. I have a 1,000 chip cash game set (mint), a 1,000 tourney set (very good to mint), and another birdcage of mint non-denomination chips and other "overflow" chips.

I haven't pulled them out in over 10 years, and I am considering letting them go and downgrading to some more "playable" sets of lower value.

What would everyone recommend? Do I do an auction on this site? Can I set a reserve? I don't think that raffles are allowed anymore, correct?

Thanks for the feedback.

Why not play with them?
I don't host games anymore. I used to have a monthly two-table game that lasted about 10 years. But I moved a while back and sold the tables before the move. I still play at other home games/casinos. I just haven't been hosting games.

You are correct, raffles are no longer allowed.

Auction is a good idea for a quick sale, but you may be (unpleasantly) surprised by the final bid. The high-end chip market, like many things right now, is in a bit of a "correction" and it is common to see price cuts in active listings for items that aren't in high demand or "the latest and greatest." That being said, it sounds like you got in very early on the Pharoah's, so you're in a great spot if you want to sell.

Maybe take some quality pics, do some research on recent sale prices, and post a For Sale ad with a specific price and a willingness to "consider reasonable offers." Then you can take offers by PM as they come and negotiate as needed.

Hey! I immediately recognized your userid from Chiptalk days. Welcome to PCF!

I would recommend posting in the For Sale area.

But do a search for recent Pharaoh sales on the site and base your pricing accordingly. Prices have skyrocketed since Chiptalk days.

Selling larger Pharaoh sets may be tougher given the value these days. People will often be searching for smaller amounts to fill out there existing sets.

A good idea may be to offer splits on the sets if all racks are spoken for.

And if your looking for cheaper alternatives, look up Tina Hybrids. Complete custom ceramics with various molds and separate printed sticker inlay.

I'll post some old pics now and will take some new pics when I post for sale.

Please do not use ‘mint’

Preferred wouid be to post photo and explain the chips are in this condition. I'm saving you headaches

Your best option is a short auction on this forum. Post lots and lots of pictures. End it mid-afternoon on a Sunday. This will get you the absolute best price. Pay no attention to the 'risk' of getting a low price. And don't go for the easy quick money that is hitting your inbox no doubt. You will get top dollar here guaranteed.

lol by the rack is easy to ship. Small flat rate usps priority boxes. That seems like a fair price. These are pretty desirable non leaded fantasy chips, and at $4.50/chip they should move quickly. After a few months, I’d say January, you will know what’s your slow moving inventory is and can fire sale at that point…

And maybe you should build 1 cash set and 1 tourney set. Both being a 500 chip set. Nothing too big.

I don't disagree with your approach. I just don't like to work that hard  :ROFLMAO:

A lot of money is being held onto in anticipation for @TheChipRoom Black Friday sale. Depending on what Jim reveals, you could either be in great shape or sucking the proverbial hind tit

Hey are you open to selling your Purple Pharaoh NCVs? If they’re still available 🤞🏼 Can dm you for further discussion if you are more comfortable with that 🙏🏻

Did you end up selling these? Would be interested in some racks of blue NCV's / .25s and yellow 1Ks / NCVs, hit me up!
