I don’t know if anyone here is familiar with it, but there is a game called “The Gang”. It’s a co-operative game based on Texas Hold’em. My friends and I really enjoy it. The problem is that the components this game comes with are pretty bad. The deck of cards it comes with are awful, and the chips are plastic. Replacing the cards is easy, I just swapped in a nice deck of playing cards. Replacing the chips is a little more difficult.

This game requires exactly 24 chips.
There should be six each of four colors, white, yellow, orange, and red.
For each color, the chips need to be numbered 1–6.

Most people buying poker chips are getting a set for actual poker, which is hundreds of chips. And for normal poker, all chips of the same color have the same denomination.

If I wanted to get some high quality chips for this game to replace the plastic ones, what is the best option? I’m guessing maybe just get 24 high quality chips in 4 colors and then use stickers to mark them 1–6?

Sounds like a perfect job for BRPro Poker.
You could do the chips in 39mm, 43mm or even 47mm. You’ll need artwork, or you can have Kristil at BRPro come up with something for you, she is extremely helpful.
I designed a bounty/seating chip a while back that has numbers 1-10 on the back, and while the BRPro policy is a minimum of 25 chips, it wasn’t necessary to buy 25 of each number. They will also print samples of something you are considering before you have the group produced.

Is there a template available for Sticker Mule labels, or would I have to measure it myself?
There are plenty of threads on here about using Sticker Mule. But the more I think about it, for such a small number of labels, just go with @Gear The cost won't be much more, and the quality will be much better. Unless it's too small of an order for them to deal with.

Another possibility is to watch the classified for older ASM and CPC solids. These would be real compressed clay chips, and can often be found for well under $1 per chip, and in smaller, odd quantities.

Ooooh, so you are saying I could just buy some pre-existing higher quality chips and then re-sticker them? That seems like the best option yet.

Exactly! Do the colors have to be the same four original colors, or just any four different colors?

Do they have to be solids? I was just looking at this set. Only one chip of the fourth color, but you might be able to find 5 more from someone on here.

In this game the poker hand is a metaphor for a heist. The chip colors increase in intensity each phase.

deal -> white
flop -> yellow
turn -> orange
river -> red

Technically any four colors will work, but to maintain the theme you really want to have a color sequence that increases in intensity. And for the sake of accessibility you want to avoid conflicts with color-blindness like red/green. I guess it wouldn’t matter to change out the white chips for maybe blue. You could also use a sequence of yellow->orange->red->black where black is the most intense. As long as it is obvious to players what the sequence is without having to think too hard about it.

I still think ceramics would work best for this, especially the 47mm chips.
For comparison, the $5 chip below is 39mm, the green 25 is 43mm and the Rebuy & Willie chips are 47mm (both from BRPro)
