Doug Polk explains it in the top comment of that thread. Basically they chose the wrong Texas county to operate in.What were they raided for?

Yes, operating a quasi-legal casino with permission from the paid off local officials but not permission from the state government sounds very Soviet and even third world.Feels pretty Soviet...
Ironic thing about America: The more a locality cries "America is for freedom", the more they will want to prohibit gambling, drinking, any business involving sex, and any non-Christian beliefs.Feels pretty Soviet...

Live! Salem (New Hampshire) is opening tomorrow. Safe bet that there will be mint Paulsons (and a poker room.)

Uh oh. Might be a false alarm. Their other 3 locations have good looking RHCs, but their Louisiana location, opened earlier this year, has garbage plastics.Live! Salem (New Hampshire) is opening tomorrow. Safe bet that there will be mint Paulsons (and a poker room.)
Live Casino! opens tomorrow July 9th. They will have Poker. I've been to Maryland Live before and it was a very nice Poker Room. What I'm interested to see how they work is HHR(Historical Horse Racing) gambling machines they will have at this Casino. I've never ever heard of them until today. Who here has tried them and are they fun?Casino's spend SO MUCH on Marketing but have no continuity between properties.Ugh.

Ive never played them, only because I don't play slots. But my understanding of them is that they play like normal slots, but instead of payouts being based on some internal algorithm, they're somehow based on historical horse racing results.Live Casino! opens tomorrow July 9th. I recall (having read Arthur Miller's "The Crucible") that back in the day, not even dance was allowed in Salem MA, let alone gambling.Live! Salem (New Hampshire) is opening tomorrow. Safe bet that there will be mint Paulsons (and a poker room.)
Are you there yet?Live! Salem (New Hampshire) is opening tomorrow. Safe bet that there will be mint Paulsons (and a poker room.)
Nah. Even if I knew they were the prettiest RHCs in the land, the only use I’d have for them is flipping. And that’s not my thing. I’ll find my way up there if they start running tournaments, but I’m not gonna drive 90 minutes each way just to find out they went with crappy plastics. Are you there yet?

Such a shame because I actually quite liked their orange B&G £100s, cyan £25s and scroll mold 43mm purple £1000s. Far better than whatever crap they have now.Now Monte Carlo chips can claim they look just like real casino chips.
