Good Afternoon,

I am writing this post to gain some insight from the folks at PCF. This fall I will be hosting microstakes cash games and I am looking for some insight on how many chips I may need and the denominations that will play the smoothest. The blinds would most likely be either 0.10/0.20 or 0.25/0.50 NLHE. With this chip set I would like to be able to accommodate up to 10 players with rebuys. In addition to the NLHE, I will also be looking to incorporate side bets, dice games, and horse race into the mix. What quantity of each denomination should i be looking to have on hand for a successful game? I apologize if this has been asked many times on this thread, I am posting to gain access to direct messaging on the Marketplace side of PCF. Thank you for the replies and insight!

Hi, welcome.

Check this out, specifically around 11:30 for the breakdown you are looking for, but the entire video is worth a watch.

I'm in the same position myself and have the following order on the way (slightly altered from the video for some room to move up a bit)

100-- 5c
200 -- 25c
200 -- $1
150 -- $5
50 -- $25

.10/.20 and .25/.25 will play essentially the same. If you think you might need something for very low microstakes, you could get some nickels, but something like this will work for most small games.

25¢ x 100-200
$1 x 200-300
$5 x 200-300
$25 x $100

Agreed. 5c chips are only needed for 5c/10c games. 25c/25c is the way to go if considering 10c/20c
