Anybody put plastic racks in an Ultrasonic. They can get just as gunky.

I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner. I wonder if you could put them in a dishwasher?

Feels like they'd melt in the dishwasher
Maybe a gentle cycle (the one for China) and turning the heated dry off could work??

A sacrificial plastic item with these settings before trying the racks as an option and experiment might shed some light.

The dishwasher is a horrible environment for pretty much anything, including some dishes. That said, I have a friend who has no problems running his grandmother's silver flatware in the dishwasher (it's in the 'daily use' rotation at their house :wow:) and I have also successfully cooked salmon in the dishwasher for a dinner party:

...so YYMV.

Just, make sure using something you don't care about to test this one to make sure that this is the "right" environment.

I've washed them in the dishwasher with no problems. Top rack worked fine. We have plastic kid bowls that are thinner than the racks and they survived the bottom rack of the washer.

I'd be more interested on if they'd hold up in the ultrasonic.

I've done quick US baths and then wipe off remnants. Seems fine. But top rack dishwasher and drip dry seems easier if you have piles to do.
