I received these chips through various giveaways over the years, and I’ve never felt quite right about selling them for personal gain. So instead, I’ve decided to put them to good use, my family is currently raising money for Urban Promise Wilmington, specifically their Street Leader Job Training Program.
This program employs inner-city high school students (ages 14–18) as counselors, teachers, and role models in free after-school programs and summer camps. In addition to job training, it offers leadership development, tutoring, mentoring, employment, and college prep. These teens have opportunities for college tours, SAT prep, public speaking, outdoor trips like camping and fishing, and community events like formal dinners and overnight lock-ins.
