Words of thanks

A hearty "Thank you!" to Alain-Pierre of @PokerChipsDesign for donating his design and build skills and for supplying the Big Kat Kase free of charge. You, sir, are fawesome!

"Thanks!" also to @David Spragg , Classic Poker Chips and Marlow Casino Chips for providing free Airtites for the auction. Also for creating the chip set, and for the legendary customer service.

Please give all your money to these fine people. But save some for the charity auction, please!

What you're bidding on...

This lot includes:
  • 1 x Big Kat Kase (limited #1 of 1), with solid-gold* certificate of awesometicity
  • 1 x full Black Cat MD-50 sample set (all 8 chips, incl the Halloweener), the one from the PCF calendar
  • 1 x Black Cat crystal clear (etched perspex) DB (limited #1 of 1)
  • Massive street cred
The 'Big Kat Kase' (BKK) is a larger version of the 'Kat Kase'. The original Kat Kase housed 6 chips only, whereas the BKK houses all 8 chips from the Black Cat MD-50 cash set.

This is the first and only time I'll be selling an all-8-chip sample set, including the extremely limited Halloween $13 chip ("Halloweener", or "'weener").

This sample set is the same one that features in this month's PCF calendar entry:

I thought about calling this the "King Kat Kase". But the acronym wasn't so hot.

I've been holding a charity auction annually, to commemorate my mom, who was claimed by cancer, and to raise some cash for a cancer charity.

This year's charity is Macmillan Cancer Support, who provided nursing staff to my mom. https://www.macmillan.org.uk/

Rulez

  • Bids and payment in GBP via PP F&F (so we can take advantage of Gift Aid 25% donation match in the UK)
  • Buyer pays shipping (packaging materials plus postage from the UK to destination)
  • I will bolt the shipping costs on to the donations (so the charity gets more money)
  • Bids start at £1
  • Bids should be unique (pls do not bid the same amount as another person)
  • Auction ends 11.59pm CST on Sunday 15th October
  • I'll try to record bids in OP for ease of reference (there may be lag due to childcare responsibilities!)

Questions?

Please ask!

For anyone wanting to pick up a Halloweener without having to snag the BKK, I'll be running a separate charity auction similar to last year's:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/charity-auction-5-x-black-cat-halloween-chips.15443/

I'm not sure how many will be up for grabs (will need to check numbers) but it won't be more than three.

The Kat Kase was a gift to the folk who provided the most/best advice that fed into the Black Cat cash set.

This was a limited prototype chip run that @David Spragg kindly got CPC to do for me, so I could check out the design on real-life chips. More detail is in the Kat Kase thread here:

Word of warning - selling this sample set means that I'll break my second barrel of 500s (fundos).

So I may well bid myself, as the 39 chips is liable to tilt me no end!!!

...and we're off!

Open your hearts/wallets|purses, close that rational part of brain that manages household/family finances!

Happy bidding, folks!

Toby very, very generously sent out some siiiiiiick sets of the prototypes back when he was working this all out and I was lucky enough to be included. Now I need to reunite the real deal chips here with the rough drafts.

£50

@Toby - just post a high bid per day lol.

If I snipe this at last minute you're hand-delivering Nov 2 amirite??:D

It'll slow down soon enuff, don't worry!

Man, don't tempt me! Can you recommend a lawyer to draw me up some divorce papers? I'll also need a bolt hole for me and my chips...

not bidding, but this is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. So amaze. I love the Flamingo 1 emulation.
