I have the Aladdin chip in my collection. I was not sure of the rarity but according to the chip coollectors guide it may be my rarest chip. I would like to add some other very rare chips to the collection. This is a great forum to get familiarized with these chips hopefully.

A chips rarity doesn’t really come into play when I buy—so I probably don’t know what my [objectively] rarest chip is. Obviously rarity affects price so my collection is pretty not-rare. Just a lot of chips I like :)

Maybe this Outpost $1000?

I agree that the $1,000 is really rare. What a great looking chip. I have a few chips that are likely unique, but not Incredibly valuable.

My no. 1 rarest... front and back (long-time Holy Grail for me that I was thrilled to add to my collection):

At the time of this post, there is an even rarer Holier-Grail California Club chip up for purchase on the Bay, but the seller is asking >>3x book(s) value and >>2x book(s) value with a discounted offer. As much as as I would pounce on the chance to add that particular unicorn to my California Club collection, I can't in a million years justify spending the same as a reasonably-priced new car on a used casino chip when at best it's worth a "it'll get you to work and back for a few years" used car.

[Hooray it was in the "hall of fame collection", but that never justifies >3x book value on the chip! [Rant here hoping the seller sees this, as I haven't seen any of their items move at their inflated prices...).]

...and my no. 2 rarest, only because of the history and the fact that there are only 19 known (and possible) in the wild:

Ok I’ll bite. What makes that $100 special, besides being a great looking chip?

How did you get this information about only 19 known remaining chips? What about the big brother 8v Baccarat MGM? On the tables at the same time during the Tyson fight?
The 19 is a number that has been published in both the Chip Guide and the Campiglia & Wells guides. I presume it's the number that was given to the Gaming Commission after the event, but those are the sources I have used for this number.

I don't think they were as worried as the Baccarat chips as they were likely not involved in the tipping of tables and grabbing of chips. They just moved on to the secondary rack there at the same time as they brought out the general secondary rack. Whatever 8V's are in the wild were never had a chance to get redeemed for whatever reason.
