Season 18 isn't necessary to watching the new ones. 19 is more important for that. The stand out episodes in 18 IMO are 1,3,5,7,8, and 9.

One I've been meaning to catch up on. Not a giant Donald Glover fan, but as a Georgia native, I'm all about the show.
If you're looking for something probably a bit darker (and definitely of a different tone) set in Atlanta, Snow on tha Bluff is still on Netflix and it's an awesome short found footage flick about dealers/hustlers. If you have any interest, I'd encourage you not to read anything more about it before watching.

Just watched Westworld last night. It's unlike anything I've ever watched on tv before.
Watched Westworld last night. It was good, not great. Maybe my knowledge of the source material made me less immediately impressed than some folks. They could certainly go to lots of interesting places, but I saw the pilot as merely an interesting starting point rather than something remarkable in and of itself.
Already wanted to check it out - now even more curious...
Also I have to upgrade my Westworld opinion to say it's gotten better with each episode. Looking forward to seeing it develop.

I've steered clear of Westwood based on initial responses. Figured I'd need to visit it once the show had settled in and the critics calmed down..! Will give it a shot.

I agree with butler. It's gotten better each week
Watched the pilot last night. It was good. I love Billy Bob, so it's easy for me to enjoy it and it's definitely not a bad thing to see Maria Bello and Molly Parker showing up together on there either. Can't say I was blown away, but I'll still keep up with it for the moment and see how it goes.
These fan theories of Westworld are pretty interesting. I admit they're thinking waaaaaaaay more about the show than I had been previously. Spoilers abound obviously.

Watched the second episode, enjoying how it's shaping up. The show's producers seem to be guilty of drawing out the episode then hitting with a sledgehammer cliffhanger right at the finale. Not sure how long they can sustain that...

I liked Luke Cage. It was my least favorite of the Netflix Marvel shows. I thought Jessica Jones, and both seasons of Daredevil were a lot better.

Well anyone not watching Westworld is pretty much wasting their lives at this point. Certainly the best show in an active season at the moment (though, to be fair, I haven't started Search Party yet). I feel like the entire thing is this giant hurricane and I have no idea how it will put all the pieces down in a way that will make any sense, but there's only one episode to go, so I'll be on the edge of my seat next week.
If Thandie Newton doesn't get an Emmy for this performance it will make complete sense since the Emmys are a joke, but will still be a travesty. Evan Rachel Wood isn't doing too bad herself either.
Also, my Sunday nights are getting pretty nihilistic with the one-two dystopian punches of Westworld and the Walking Dead.
