Gorilla Gaming just came out with a larger table size for the illuminati at 102" x 48" that I'm thinking of purchasing. With the funky eclipse like shape, @rjdev7 you can make a custom topper for this table shape?

When your topper is a little short and you want to hide the felt. I really hate the orange showing through.

Some gaffer tape will do the trick. No residue and easy to work with. I went with 3/4 inch. There is cheaper gaffer tape, but I went with something that looked like good quality.

Is this a common issue? Was the wrong size topper ordered? Or is this within tolerances of the table and the topper?

It is within tolerances of the topper being cut. I used exact measurements. rjdev said it will never be longer than exact, but can be a little short. I changed tables and have one that is way too big so I didn't want to chance being too big. I'm not good at trimming.

Was wondering if we could find out the % of times it's exact to very close. That would help provide data on the chances of being a little short and you can factor that in if you want to go slightly bigger. Might be a good poll to do.

It’d also be good to know how much it could be under

Or I could go 94”x 46”. Some people said that one might be too tight for 10 guys. So I was thinking the new 102” x 48” would be better. Too big?????
Is 94" kind of the standard 10 person size? Larger tables may be the market responding to larger people over time. That would be interesting.

Only you can decide what size works for you. In my mind personal space and ease of reach/deal for a table are mutually limiting each other. I'm planning on building three tables. Still struggling deciding on size myself.

So I have a real problem and a question for the hive mind here. My problem is is that I buy too many of these wonderful toppers, but that’s not a real problem of course. my question is, does anybody have any storage ideas?

I’ve got almost a dozen of these beauties, and I would love to know any ingenious ideas on how to efficiently store these up and away, either in a garage or a shed or in a closet. Are there any bins are hanging devices out there that work well? i’ve come across a few mat storage systems for table board games, but they are all way too small.

Yes I saw this earlier, that looks great for a single topper, my problem of course is that I have many…. Also the tube is only 30.25” deep and the toppers for my Gorilla home game table are 33”

I’m really looking for some kind of wall system, or something that could be hung on a door, that would hold a bunch of toppers

I have a couple of these Tripod bags. I can fit at least a few toppers in each depending on if I roll them up together or separately. Then I can just hang each bag on a hook in my closet or wherever for storage. It is much easier to work with with a zipper that goes all the way down the side than a bag or tube that only opens on the end.

I don’t have that many—I believe I have five or six—and yet my mind’s been going in the same direction, trying to come up with a simple system for both storage and easy access. I’ll let you know if I think of something or if anything comes up that proves to be useful.
