Be careful with that cheap green & brown bridge sized Dal Negro setup offered on Kardwell. I got one of them as part of my last Kardwell order, and I was really excited for them because I know Desjgn used that fantastic Dal Negro stock plus I love my other Dal Negro card setup. But this green & brown Dal Negro setup turned out to be total crap and not even worth the $3.50 I paid for it. I don't know how else to describe it other than to say that the cards are really kind of gross because they almost feel sticky (even though they came new in box). I actually got them to give to my buddy who loves Italian playing cards, but I haven't given them to him yet because it'd be too embarrassing to hand someone a package of nasty sticky playing cards. I'm going to have to try to wash and dry each card to see if they become playable... otherwise they are going straight into the trash. So caveat emptor on these, my friends....

So, I've added some to my cart a few times and closed the tab recently, but I had to pull the trigger on some, since we might not see them around anywhere else for some time. Grabbed the Superflex poker width with border, bridge size with border, some of the star ones that were cheap, and those Dal Negros that may or may not suck, but they're cheap. Thanks again to OP for the code!

Monte Carlo are made on the Superflex stock. They were a special order/print for Kardwell. The red inks are different. One is lighter and one has the security red ink (I can’t remember which is which right now)
Anyways, same card stock and they are basically Superflex

I guess we can agree to disagree but Monte Carlos feel thinner and more textured to me than Superflexs, May be same stock but they feel different IMO.
The Superflexs have the security Red where Monte Carlo's have regular Red
Thanks guys, sounds like Monte Carlo and Superflex are the preferred sets and gem pro isn't even worth talking about

I got lucky. My order was stuck in Pending status for a week. I called to understand what was happening, they said they would check on availability. They shipped it later the same day.
They still have Poker sized. Ordered bridge and poker, poker got a shipping confirmation immediately. Is there a refund for the other?

dang... I shouldn't have procrastinated on the order.. Hopefully the Monte Carlo is close enough to the super flex so I can get a feel for the quality.

Got my 2 Gemaco Monte Carlo's in today. They're nice, pretty stiff and not much texture, feels smooth but there's no issues with the dancing top card. The pips and font are easy to read but look elongated which is a little odd imo. The red is more of a pinkish red rather than a darker red which I don't mind and for some reason my backs were the same but on the website the red and blue should be different?

Been sitting "Pending" for ~1.5 weeks. I emailed them last week but didn't get a response. I'm emailing them again to see what they say.
FYI the discount code still works. Bridge-size Superflex off the website now, but both poker-size still on the site, as well as the Monte Carlos.
(The above Gem Pro is also still on the site, so hopefully they will ship mine. Maybe I'll ask if I can add some Monte Carlo to the order if I can save on combined shipping since they still have to send me something...)

I did but it was after-hours East Coast time when I tried. Will try again tomorrow!
They shipped my poker-standard superflex, feel great. Didn't ship or charge me for the bridge, no comms. Wasn't worth the shipping for one setup, oh well.

I also received my green/brown monte Carlo bridge set up, and they are great value for the cost at 50% off. Maybe a very slight texture on the back, but pretty smooth overall. I compared them with an older, red box set up I have of bridge superflex, and they feel like the same stock, or very close. The superflex are slightly thicker and less flexy, but they both are great cards imo. Very much thinking about ordering another set up or two of the Monte Carlo cards while the sale is on. They do have the lighter red rather than the security red, but other than that, the colors seem fine.
