Cash Set CPC/MSK - First Stab (1 Viewer)

Well done sir. I like this set. I love the progression from the quarter to the five.
Thx. The snapper is an outlier but it'll never see play with the rest of the set. It's slated to be a gift, but now that I have them in person I'm not so sure...:)

Great set! First time I've noticed (what appears to be) the brass flecks in the face of a chip, on the quarters. Big fan of them.

The inlay size suits the inlay design perfectly too, you must be please with that. Love seeing racks and racks of them. Enjoy.

Yes, that's standard for all the "weighted" CPC chips. Some colors show it better than others. The dayglo colors are unweighted which is why you won't see them in the snappers. Most of the time it's more prominent on the rolling edges, but for some reason the light chocolate pops the specs when I oil them. I'm a big fan too.

I did go back and forth a bit on the inlay size but @David Spragg assured me that my selection was perfect; if I went any bigger I'd have to stretch the skyline which would then have implications for the text and denomination if I wanted to keep the skyline proportional to itself. Definitely glad to have his expert eye before things went to proof.

I've got a fair amount of ASMs (as opposed to CPC chips) in various colours, but none are are flecks noticeable on the faces, just the rolling edges. I know some folk aren't fans, but I love it. And they add bit extra to the 'plainer' chip in the set.

Good luck giving away those snappers...

Same here -- about 1500 split between HHR and Circle-Square, and they're only visible on the rolling edge.

I know it's improbable, but I'm beginning to wonder if there was something about the production process that affected the dispersion of the flakes. (More than likely, it's probably the crosshatching / texture on the faces that are hiding them.)
