What @Coyote said. Combination of older furniture and glass shelves is a recipe for potential disaster! Be very cautious!Lucked up on this piece at an antique store today for $150. Already getting it filled up.View attachment 1428879
I have had no issues with the acrylic birdcage and I have taken my chips on the road several times. There were issues ive heard about where there was only a single screw holding the handle to the bottom plate and you need to look for the ones that have 2 screws. Well i have two 1000 count and two 400 count birdcages and couldnt tell you if they have 1 or 2 screws because i never looked and you cant find out when ordering anyway. I would suggest for total safety and protection to purchase the Versa birdcage case:Random…
Thoughts on the acrylic cages? Are the handles sturdy enough to carry 25-35 lbs? Or should I just buy a big 1000ct case or versa???
Ha! Interesting stacking the chips vertical!Pro tip: these stores always have measuring tapes for sale. Go to that aisle first then you can ensure your new "tool box" is appropriate for Chips.

*if I had less chips it would fit everything. It does hold my largest cash set, two tourney sets + plaques, cards, and accessories including buttons etc... over 11k chips etc...great for home games![]()
I could fit 6 standard racks across each drawer, vertical with the stacking racks I can fit 11 across. Some drawers are not tall enough for stacked standard racks (36mm chips can be stacked, not 39mm though too tall). Thus i have 1 drawers with 1100 HSI's, 1100 36mm cinci, 1600 36mm majestic star, and 2 large drawers with the balance of HSIs and 47mm accessory chips. Top drawers holding plaques, 600 36mm chips in standard trays and dealer buttons/cash box in the top lid section. Further drawers holding cards and a few larger dealer buttons.Ha! Interesting stacking the chips vertical!
