I'm in Champaign. I've heard from a few friends that the new Golden Nugget shouldn't even call itself a casino lol. So irritated they didn't had a poker room. Glws.

PS. Do you know of any good games in the area?

The best poker room I've seen is in Rivers, in Des Plaines. Always packed. The next best is Ballys in Rock Island. Lower stakes there, and everyone is freindly.
Nothing near you (as far as I know). It would be quite a drive to either place.

No doubt. I'm hoping to find a private game somewhere. I did get invited to a $10 buy-in .10/.20 game yesterday lol

@TheHun is right about Rivers being the best one in the wider area. I haven't tried out the Indianapolis Horseshoe yet, but it looks promising. I did see some press that the GN in Danville is planning on having a poker room at some point, however I'll believe it when I see it.

If you're looking for a local option, Central Illinois Charitable Games (http://centralillinoischaritablegames.com/events/) usually does Saturday cash and tournaments in the Champaign/Bloomington area. I've gone a few times and its hit and miss. I went to the Tuscola Moose Lodge of all places during one of their events and they 3 tables of 1/2 running, with one of them playing like a 5/10 game. Other times they've struggled to keep one table running.
