OMG @JoeyMack I don't think I've seen the scale of your set this is insane. You know I'm just like counting the racks here and you know you have one too many racks of 5s and melons cause they don't match your 5 racks of hundreds. I don't think anyone would notice if you pulled a rack of 5s and melons and sent them my way. In fact You'd prolly feel better about the balance of 5 racks of 5s, melons, hundos etc. lol Plus 5 is an odd number and everyone knows odd numbers have harmony, balance, and good feng shui :p

to be honest I've not been a big fan of the SY 2 quarter. Always though the orange was a bit much with the peach and yellow and with the jacks. HOWEVER, spent some time in the JACK detroit pr0n thread here after getting an SY 2 single from @Pinkdan and I have to say I'm on the SY bandwagon. Cleaned up the chip and the peach pops. I have two asks...

Need to find 2 mint racks. I have a sale post out there now and I know y'all hang here as well. Need to raise some cash and not in a hurry but thought we could get a conversation going if anyone has or has a line on 2 racks.

Secondly, I'd like to mock a few singles up as well so if anyone has any SY $2 peach base labels for quarters with the gear on it I'd love to have just a few I can mock up. I know they shrink, not looking to replace a @Gear order, I'll be ordering some 400 chip labels from gear. Just looking to mock a few up to check the design before I pick up the rest of the chips and order labels. So if anyone has any of the following I'd just be looking for a small sample of labels to test.

My fracs
Quarter SY $2 peach base color with the gears.
Nickel Paris $2 silver base color with the four scallops.
Oh ya... disregard. "FOUND"

Guys I have a design dilemma I need help with. Should I continue with the plan to use 2 racks of crisp, cut your finger casino cage MINT Santa Ysabel $2 or should I swap them out for a recent opportunity to use actual Paulson Peach Saloon $2s but in excellent somewhat used condition? Strictly from a design standpoint what are you guys feeling? I'm stuck in analysis paralysis. I'm still waiting on some close ups of this saloon chip to confirm condition but the Santa Ysabel are not technically peach base color. I think they're melon or something idk (if someone can confirm that would be awesome) But the SY are cage mint and that's important.

From a design, color, progression, etc. standpoint what would you do. Photoshopped Photos below.

I think both work there with the denoms after them, with slight preference to the Saloon $2s. I'm just jumping in now, but not sure I like the Paris chips w/ the rest of the set; just don't think they fit.

Edit - Just realized this is a pron thread, so...

I would use the SYs. Seems like they match the condition of the rest of the chips.

But the real answer is "whichever chips you will actually put in play."

Stop buying for a bit...get your set together and labeled. Then felt them. Host a few games with them, and see how it works out.
I'm leaning toward the SY since they are mint and proven in these other sets I've seen. Drawn to the Saloon actual bright peach and yellow spot since it's as close to the original jack frack I could find. But the condition is giving me some pause.

Well…you know that I am partial to the SY 2s, but that aside I would still have to lean towards those in this case. The quarter pie is a simple pattern but punches well above its weight and has proven to fit flawlessly in the JD set. The saloon is a great chip but has a more complex pattern which seems better served at a 1K than at a frac. If it was me…I wouldn’t want my most complex pattern at the quarter spot. But when it comes down to it, you do you. You are the one who is going to have to see them every day. Whatever makes you happiest is key.

The custom $1ks were HS Cincinnati $1ks. I have since added Jack Detroit $1ks (think I am at 90).
Those look really nice. Might be a good option for some of us that not only missed the original sale but those of us who also missed all the secondary market shuffling and stashing. All the upper denims are all ticked away. Your set looks amazing.
