Hey y'all, saw a streamer play a bunch of different types of Wordle-esque games the other day and this one came up. Searched the forums and couldn't find any mention of it, so I thought I'd bring it up here! The website explains the rules of how to play much better than I can, so I'll just give a basic premise of what the game is. Three players, you see their hole cards and who's ahead at the flop, the turn, and the river. You have to try and guess the community cards. Solved today's Pokle in two attempts, let me know how y'all did!

My buddy just introduced this to me half an hour ago. Here is my attempt.

A little annoyed that the suits in my guess were inconsequential. Still a fun game.

Different route but also got it in 3

fun game
Yeah I got it in 3 and I had it in two except for one random suit. It’s a cool game and maybe future days will prove me wrong, but it feels like it’s pretty easy once you understand all the rules (if you actually take a few minutes to work it.)

The arbitrary one-solution-only including matching the exact suits even if they don't matter, is a little silly. It could have easily taken me 5-6 guesses today, instead of 3, if I happened to pick the wrong suit.

But since there are multiple potential solutions to each problem (each of my guesses fulfilled the hand rankings on each street), requiring an exact match is I guess not unreasonable.

I've only done today's and yesterdays so small sample size, but I do agree it does seem a little easy atm, with guessing the wrong suits inflating the number of attempts to solve. Tho, if I paid a little more attention, I would've been able to solve it in two.

I don’t know how to do the SPOILER tricky thing, so I’ll just warn people that there’s a slight SPOILER for todays puzzle coming, so just scroll on by if you don’t want a SPOILER!!!
I agree that guessing suits could drag it out, and that’s lame but fine. I suppose when I say I had it in two today (without the right suit), I’m pretty sure I had one lucky guess. Like, hypothetically, if I decided there was a straight involved in one of the hands, I could probably determine the four cards in the middle, but I would still have to guess either the card at the top of the straight or the card at the bottom.
So I can brag that I got it in 3, but honestly I could have just as easily gotten it in 4, right?

Let me see

Test

Nothing on any of those menus ever work for me on my iPhone anyway. On my computer, yes. Phone? Can’t even change text size.

Tap the right-most vertical ellipse (next to the refresh button), and see if the BB Code mode [ ] is toggled (in orange). If so, tap it again to toggle it off, and see if the toolbar buttons become tappable on your phone.

To put existing text into a spoiler tag, highlight first before tapping the spoiler button. You don't need to put a title for the spoiler.

That is true. Got lucky and guessed top straight instead of bottom. Also since it doesn't distinguish if the value of the card is correct or the suit is correct when yellow, it could've easily taken much more guesses. Even though flopping top or bottom straight doesn't effect the ranking of the hands in today's puzzle.

So are there multiple solutions to each hand scenario? Pretty sure my first guess fulfills it, but then backtracked and got confused by the color meanings.

Yes, there are multiple solutions that fulfill the hand rankings for each street, but only one correct-for-the-puzzle answer, down to the rank and suit.

Focusing on just the flop: From your first guess, one of the three flop cards has either a king or a diamond, based on the first card being yellow. On your second guess, when the :ks: was not yellow, then that indicates none of the flop cards is a king, so you know there's a non-king diamond somewhere in the flop. Also from the first two guesses, no hearts and spades are in the flop. And you keep deducing from there...

My first guess was very close to yours. If both of our guesses would also work as solutions, then I'm not impressed with this game (especially since they're being ticky tack about suits when the suit wouldn't matter)... IMO that's worse than having 4 correct letters in Wordle and running out of guesses because 4 or more letters would work in that last spot...
