I think it looks busy. I would not buy any of them if they were includes more words over a color change for each table.

I can understand wanting it to look nice but the esthetics shouldn't compromise or impair it's functionality. I'm fine with non textual table indicators but you really should have something other than the color to indicate it. You're going to get color blind players and people who just won't notice because the difference it's so subtle.

Perhaps a shape or pattern to indicate the different tables along with the color?

We will not be doing this, unless there's overwhelming feedback from the community that this is the route to go down.

It will be inlay background or numeral color that denotes table. The mock ups will include these as options.

I'm currently looking for a chip artist to create some proper prototype options so we can agree the preferred way forward.

...because the difference it's so subtle.

Seat /Table is how my local casino does it and it works so I guess I'm partial to what I'm used to. I know that if they relied on colors to indicate the tables it would be a shit show.

Perhaps a suit to indicate a table (along with the color). I think it's limiting it's effectiveness by relying on colors only.

The mock in post #95 is much better. Not sure if I like black background. For the 5th table would you use a star?

I dont think you really need the "SEAT" maybe have the spade large and the 5 inside of it. That will take care of table and seat...I am not a fan of the black either.

black spade, red heart, green club, blue diamond. Add a white star and yellow sun if you need six tables. No text. If somebody can't figure out "5" means seat five, he's too stupid to play.

As long as one can tell the difference between the 'red' table chips and the 'green' table chips (those colors used only as examples), I really have no preference on how it's done -- via inlay color or numeral color. It just needs to be a very clear distinction, nothing subtle.
Ditto. Subtle sucks.

I think the suits to denote table could be cool.

I'm less sure about the different color suits - the 4-color cards aren't the most popular...

Would shape be sufficient to denote table, or would you prefer color too?

Still not confirmed a designer. @Johnny5 has been too busy to respond to my email. Either that or he needs a break from me and my black cat requests!

I would recommend @p5woody for this project.

I do like color for sure. Suits would add a nice touch. I don't think a comparison to 4 color cards fits this application. We aren't playing with these, just determining what table (then they are flipped and become bounties.)

Would it be as easy to quickly navigate London's Tube without colors on the map and signage underground?

Colors it is, although an analogy twixt the London Underground map and seating 3-5 poker tables doesn't really work for me! ;)

Just larking aboot until an artist shows up...

I ran into a design challenge by choosing a fancy number font on the spade! :D

I like these for the most part. You need to add a 5th chip with a star and make it yellow. Not crazy about the number font but maybe it would be better if sized smaller so all numbers stay inside the suit image.

Yeah the font isn't a keeper.

These are just illustrative of the direction I think we're headed

Hit me up and I'll give it a go if you want....always down for art projects and chips you kjow that..thanks stocky for the shout out (y)

J5 is working on a prototype but if you want to table some options we'll let the community decide which design(s) to take forward, if ya like. :)

Would anyone be interested in either OWPS ceramic plaque to denote table or a reversible DB with table info on one side and DEALER (or a suit design) on the other?

A DB/Dealer button is a nice idea but since I have custom DBs for the chip sets being used, It will never see action. I plan on using a matching color chip from my CPC set to denote table. I'm sure the colors used on the inlays will be very close.
