Your doing well. It took me a little over 2 years to complete the first barrel of that rack. Stay focused and you’ll eventually complete your set.

Its not that bad....worst that can happen is you end up with some decent chipes. :cool

I've averaged 1 a month on the quest for LV Inn $25's for like 6-7 months now. I think I started looking mid 2022. So at 13 I'd say you're on track. JD $5's are plentiful though so just give it some time and you'll find what you're looking for.
 
I called my doctor for help, he made a house call and saw how bad my addiction was. After seeing my situation he recommended group therapy and to find a group who was familiar with my addiction issues. That's when I joined this group "PCF" Now I login to PCF when I have the urge to indulge. I am welcomed in just like an AA meeting

Yes, me too. After the Tiger sets I was able to build, I’m officially entering retirement. Even sold off the Indios which I thought would never happen. Just picking up a few singles here and there for completion of a rack. Probably done with that in a few months.

Next step is to splash pots at as many meet ups with as many members as possible. Can’t think of a better way to enjoy our collections than that. Look forward to seeing you in May Mike. :cool

Wanted ads work for some types of chips but go mostly unanswered for other more difficult to find chips. When it comes to assembling vintage TRK and Paulson sets, there’s a lot of what I like to describe as “scrounging” involved combined with luck in finding these rare beauties.

If completing a dream set has meaning to you, it will never come easy and will always come at a premium to its pursuer. It’s why you’ll very rarely see a completed vintage set for sale in the classifieds. Putting history back together to be enjoyed once again is priceless!

My doctor plays as well but he's not invited to the house. Once I hit 50 we just can't be friends anymore.

I did warn you about this. There are even fewer JD sets today than last month *cough*

Also don’t let your passion/obsession lead you to being scammed.
 
FYI, everytime is spend over $100 or see a bill over $100, in my head I'll translate the cost into number of racks. Just saying.
