Interest Suggestion Box / Interest Thread for PCFDBGB07 (1 Viewer)

Here's my first stab for a Players button. I'll be honest, not too crazy with the results. For anyone who's designed before -- what are some canvas dimensions and other image info I might need to be considering?

I love the first draft! I think there's a few things you can do to make you happier with the results. That label is very crowded, and the negative space is very minimal between the elements. I'd blow up each group and kill the dead space.

If you want to play around with a vector program (If you haven't already), that logo would be a great one to get your feet wet. Lots of straight lines would be great to learn to use the pen tool. PLUS, if you could mock up a "D" or "d", the rest of the letters for "dealer" are all in the players logo. You could mirror the logo font , which could look kinda cool.

You'll want 1/8" (3-4mm of gutter around the edge of the canvas to ensure the print doesn't run off the edge. I think there was a thread out there that discusses the formula for designing the rolling edge and what dimensions you'll need. That might just be an easy answer from someone who's designed for BRpro before though too @Colquhoun?

Haha! In fact, you could use an inverted "p" as the 'd" and you don't need to mock up anything at all!

I agree, using a vector app like illustrator is really important, and especially make sure it handles CMYK.
For the logo, the typeface chosen is real close. If you want to see if you can get an exact match, there’s some great online sites for identifying typefaces. I give one a spin with that logo later tonight.
In general, I try to not match the other text like “dealer” to the logo font, I think it takes away from the logo…better to choose a complimentary typeface instead. Maybe locate the face used for the denom on their chips.

Finished work on the NASCAR and F1 tires.
Does the word "Dealer" read well enough in the F1 wheel?

I haven't seen Empress buttons made beyond the 2" versions that Palm made back in the CT days. A quick search doesn't show anything beyond those (unless I missed something).

I know I'd be interested if the art for the design is available from someone. Maybe @buffalojim would be as well??

Sure I might be interested in a button or two. I have 2 of the smaller older ones. Those are probably the ones you're talking about.

I'd just do "DEALER" in the Pirelli font... just my take. It looks like the "D" is missing here and almost looks like a halo over the word "EALER" (which from a quick search is a hockey gear company...).
Crazy thing is, that IS the Pirelli font...
Too bad I can't just make it a Pealer button. :ROFLMAO:

The next in the sports ball series is a World Cup dealer button. Thanks to @Jonstro for the help and ideas.

The FIFA logo at the bottom is a bit tongue-in-cheek...I even considered using this other one I created  :ROFLMAO: :

Or should I just keep it FIFA?

Also, I need a rolling edge. Too bad BRPro doesn't align, because the black and white panel alignment would be awesome.

I'll toss out ideas

Desert Palms
Dunes
Treasure (renton,wa)
Caesars Palace
Mesquite Star
Venetian
Diamondback
Highway 9
Playboy
Skyway
Hacienda
Bremerton Lanes
El Cortez
Plaza/Union Plaza
Sundance
Lucky Derby
Kings Crown
Desert Inn
Condado Beach
Condado Plaza
Legends
Elite
Cerromar Beach
Harrahs Cherokee
Fun Nite
Holiday International
Westward Ho
Tropicana Evansville
Aruba Caribbean

I finally got to it and I've got a few button options worked up. The green is taken from the $500 chip, but is totally interchangeable. Not sure about the rolling edge yet. Could be the Casino and location. I'm not sure the Opus logo would fit and read well on that short footprint, but it might be fun if it does.

I'd love any and all feedback! Bounty and All In chips will follow shortly after I know I'm on the right track

I'm out on this one. Probably. When does the order thread go up?

I like that ball and tried one like that...the issue is finding a high enough resolution photo, and the space on that ball is tough to fit the dealer text.

I like these two the best by far.
