Sitting Out
I'm here. Probably ended up here like most of you guys and gals. I like to collect different Paulsons in hope I'll slowly build sets for the future.
I have my eyes on a particular set and will patiently wait until I can respond to classifieds. I can't say yet which ones I'm looking at, but will soon enough.
While I'm a little newer to chipping than most of you veterans on this site, I'll always strive to use what I know to help others. I know everyone's time is valuable and appreciate the time each and every one of you give to complete strangers. I love this community!
The recommendation on getting samples is probably the most important thing you can do in looking for that perfect chip. I know what I like and what I don't like about each chip; the feel, the smell, the noise of them touching, the true colors.
What has reignited my passion for chips? My kids... I love playing Poker or Blackjack with them and teaching them all the different tricks and techniques. They are a competitive bunch so this definitely doesn't hurt when someone challenges them to a game. One thing I noticed is a good Paulson chip just takes the game to another level. I just can't play with cheap plastic chips and take the game seriously.
My goals:
1) Collect a full set of Paulson chips (not Majestic Star quality if you know what I mean):
$1, $5, $25, $100, $500, $1000 for 3-8 people.
2) Collect barrels or racks of Paulson chips.
3) Collect unique casino chips (individual to a rack). Crazy designs, interesting colors, taboo, misprints, and rare chips.
4) Purchase here and not eBay! Haha
I'm from Tennessee by the way. Look forward to chatting with you all. I feel like I already know a lot of you just from browsing the forums.
