Lol, you are missing out if that's what you think. When people talk about online games like it's real poker, I hear:
Q. "How many times a month do you have sex?"
A. "Well, I watch PornHub on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fridays, then I go out on Saturday nights and am lucky if I pickup once a month....so I'd say about 17 times a month".
Assuming online counts then your top value is too low. I play around 3-4 times a week online and about once a month live. So around 150-180 times a year.I'm curious to know how much poker people play on average over the course of a year.
I have kept results the past 3 years and by no means play in a regular game
2019 - 4 nights of poker
2020 - 15 nights (this was mostly Pokerrrr2 with some old friends)
2021 - 8 nights (Pokerrrr2 fizzled out and this was mostly live games)
That's an average of 9 times per year over the past 3 years.
I would say back before having kids and in college days (15 years ago) it was closer to 45 to 50 nights of poker due to hosting a regular weekly game. Then when all the buddies graduated and moved away it died down to about 2 or 3 times per year for many years.
I'd like to get back to playing cards a couple times per month on average. If I go and play a tournament that is followed by a cash game, I still count that as 1 night of poker.
I know! Gross! That's crazy talk. My MINT chips might get some nicks and scratches. NOBODY touches my mint chips!wait, you guys actually play poker?
I think whether online counts or not may depend on how you do it. With me it's on a Mavens private site with a group of the same people. I consider all these people to be my friends. We exchange messages earlier in the day to set up the game. We get started around 8-9PM (depending on time zone) and we play for 2-3 hours. To me, that is absolutely a "night of poker."I voted more than 50, because I play online almost every day. It really doesnt count as a "night of cards" to me though, but it's your poll.
Live is a different story....I've only played live once this year.-
You may feel like one, but the rest of us have no clue because the top number is too low. This poll make me feel like such a degen……

Here's how it should have been set up:
Less than 6 ........ less than once every 2 months
7 - 24 ................. about once or twice a month
25 - 52 ............... up to once a week
53 - 104 ............. up to twice a week
105 - 208 ........... up to 4x a week
More than 209 .... more than 4x a week
Actually the top number accounts for 23.5%. My point is there is a big difference between someone who plays once a week and someone who plays every day, but your grouping puts them both in the same line of the poll. You say the top number is too low but still accounts for 20.2% of the responses. So it still catches a decent number of people that voted.
