I've never seen a date written in the format Dec/nn/nn before. Also two different style 1s.

Come on, he printed the picture then took another picture with the note on it.
First thing anyone older than 5 would think of if they were any kind of canny.
That actually makes perfect sense now that you mention it. I was also thinking he did it via photoshop.

Possibly but then again, you’ve got some savvy photoshop users out there. Maybe Fokker is actually @JeepologyOffroad gone rogue. Went off the deep end and wants to wreck the whole place now lol

Could have been a result of all those cleaning chemicals and cleaning sessions. Sometimes goes right to the brain.

The level of planning around this one might be enough to get the attention of Interpol. Proof of altered documents to commit an international scam. This isn’t “his word against mine” anymore. A deliberate, planned act of robbery.

I just confirmed with 2 members that they did not have any failed login attempts today but it shows that they did.
Can you send us a notification of failed log ins? My bank and other sites do this, or an email saying attempts were made or password changes made.

true come to think of it I have never seen that either it's always 12/23/21 or in other parts of the world they put the date infront of the month like 23/12/21 but yeah I have never seen Dec/23/21 before

Lol...
Not sure this all that serious, but on the other hand??

Proof of altered documents to commit an international scam. This isn’t “his word against mine” anymore. A deliberate, planned act of robbery.
All 100% for sure accurate info

This might sound silly to most but if you ever purchase a chip from me in the future, feel free to ask for pictures of me with the chips in any particular way.

I will hold the chip by my pinky toe and snap a pic if that’s what you’re into. All in the name of “security,” of course.

"It is sent without any problem."
This does not sound like someone from Georgia
Should have said “It is fixin’ to be sent without any problem”…

@Nanook I thoughts I already said this upthread, but sorry this happened to you and hope you can get some restitution.

Unfortunately it looks like our international chippers for whom English is not their first language could suffer as a result of this.

The commonality between the two scams has been crap English. I am definitely more leery of any posting that doesn’t seem like it’s from a native speaker.

I've offered this before and will always offer it as much as possible to international chippers: If it makes everybody more comfortable in the process, you can send me your chips for re-shipping to any CONUS member. A few members have done this in the past as a way of saving on shipping by sending me a number of chips with me dispersing them to various CONUS members and I'm always happy to serve as a 3rd party "certifier" that goods have been received before members send payments.

This will obviously delay how quickly you receive said chips but one can rest easy knowing chips can be received and confirmed by another member.

Damn, saw this earlier and noticed some red flags but moved on too quickly and didn’t really take the time to say anything.

Pretty interesting someone (I think we can guess who?) is just brute forcing it at this point

I say look at the feedbacks of the seller and write to one of the people who sent feedback to confirm payment address. It s simple and definitely something we can do as a community.

And why not? Seriously. If it all it takes is cracking an account, posting an ad, and bam, you’ve got $500 literally minutes later - why not?
I’m not trying to make light of this at all, but Jesus, we might have to change how we do business.

I don't want to give away too much info, but I can tell you that after looking at the # of failed logins in the last 15 mins, this is a brute force attack on accts using weak passwords.
@Tommy what about locking accounts for a for a period of time after a certain number of failed login attempts? I’m not sure if this is in place because I haven’t tried entering my password incorrectly over and over again.

@Nanook sorry to this happened to you. I hope things work out for you and you get your money back.

Shit like this makes me sick to the stomach. This community is so freaking nice but there has to be one jackass trying to ruin the fun for everyone. Big FU*K YOU to the scammer!

Take care guys & Happy holiday nonetheless!

Christ. Now you’ve opened the door for the foot fetish chippers. Fuck’s sake.
