Are the 25s that are assembled as part of the $900 set chosen at random, or are they generally better than average condition?
That last line seems a little uncalled for. People will buy what they like at a price they think is fair. I see a lot of posts liking these tournament chips. Just because someone doesn't like the same thing you do doesn't make them dumb.(oh God, someone kicked over Felty's rock, so we get to watch him scuttle in this thread)
The small stakes Majestic tourney represents the one everyone should go for.
1. Least used by the casino. Likely best condition.
2. Does not have stupid "POKER" headlining the *inlay* (inlay being a bit different from a lot of hotstamp tourney sets)
3. Includes a pretty decent yellow color for the 1, whether you plan to use it as a 1, or engage in homicide.
4. Best color contrast of all the chip sets being offered.
5. These 36mm RHC's(I probably am mis-quoting the name of this mold) seem to have more clearance to the edge, so these these will likely not fleabite all the way into the mold like those GODDAMNED 39mm RHC's ...
6. 50c per chip. (MIC DROP)
{stock market disclaimer: I will buy nothing in this sale, nor will I sell from this sale, nor am I being paid by your wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/groupfriends for other services rendered} (the latter, a lie...)
Last edit:. Jim is offering some pretty sick deals here. My only regret is that so few here are bright enough to appreciate this shit....

Jim seems to have a good feel for the market and usually prices things just enough under market so they’re a good deal. But if you think you’ve identified a big bargain (and it’s happened before,) then by all means, load up!(oh God, someone kicked over Felty's rock, so we get to watch him scuttle in this thread)

Well thankfully that puts you in an extreme minority here at PCF.Yes. I took the time to type that out because I am unfunny, non-helpful, shallow, uncaring, derisive, petty, and insulting.

Man, I wanted to shoot on some of these Majestic Star chips but the non-standard sizes(36mm) and wear on these chips are keeping me away.(oh God, someone kicked over Felty's rock, so we get to watch him scuttle in this thread)

Oh, I have a plan.it will soon be time
the calm before the madness
hope you have a plan!
Oh, I have a plan.
Classic Tyson line!
3mm or not it diff makes a diff when shuffling them IMO anywayI own some 36mm paulsons. I haven’t played an actual game with them yet, but I’ve spent plenty of time shuffling them and fooling around with them. I got used to the smaller size pretty quickly. 3mm equals .12 inches, so we’re not talking about a huge difference.
I assume casinos choose these smaller chips for tournament sets because they were cheaper? And solids - again, I don’t think anybody prefers solid chips; they’re just cheaper. In fact, if you look around, you’ll notice that the vast majority of casino tournament sets are solids.
How do they hold up? I haven’t read any reviews or reports on this, but there’s no reason to believe these chips would have a shorter life span than contemporary Paulson RHC 39mm chips (which, in the contest of the typical home game, means they’ll probably last forever.)
Here’s a 36mm chip, on top of a 39mm chip:

I have never been influenced more by someone’s post than this one. I had been on the fence about getting 36mm chips for a long time and this post completely made up my mind haha^^ Agreed. While you may adapt over the night, the 36mm chips just feel like tokens from Chuck e Cheese. I make a big raise and I half expect a giant banjo-playing singing rat to suddenly pop out and pay off my win in paper tickets that I can exchange for total crap.
YMMV

But also recognize that this is one person’s opinion. The only way that you can truly make up you own mind on this is to….I have never been influenced more by someone’s post than this one. I had been on the fence about getting 36mm chips for a long time and this post completely made up my mind haha

For those who ordered Jack Cincys at the last sale but did not get their orders filled because of what happened have any priority or leeway with this sale?
