Majestic Star: First the story. We had a deal in place to purchase the primary and secondary for the MS chips. Upon closing of the Majestic Star, the gaming commission required the primary chips be stored under surveillance until the redemption period had expired. Hard Rock sold the boat and removed all surveillance and the new property did not have surveillance set up. As a result, the Gaming Commission ordered the primary to be destroyed and allowed the secondary and NCV chips to be sold. One big problem. When the MS opened, after covid shutdown, the secondary chips were put into play and the primary chips were moved to secondary.
Opinion of chips. The lower denominations are very worn, some might call them bicycle tires. They are dirty too. I instructed my workers to pack the boxes with as many chips would fit per barrel. So in some cases that would be 21 or even 22. $500 on up will all stand on edge. They went through 2 slightly different logo variations and are both mixed in, along with some anniversary and le chips. The 43mm chips have some rack check marks and are dirty, but not bad shape considering the age.
