I have been working on this set for over a year and since most of the chips are here and I’m decided on the line up, I thought I’d share a picture

Still missing 10 x El Capitan $1, 10 x Harrah’s Joliet $1 and the fracs are in transit…but this is what the final line up will be like:

100 x mint green fracs (C&E Card room, San Diego)
200 x blue $1 (Karl’s T5, Sparks Nv)
200 x yellow $5 (Mr. & Mrs Club $5, Fresno)
40 x brown $10 (El Capitan $1, Hawthorne)
80 x pink $20 (Jack $2.5, Cinci)
20 x white $100 (Harrah’s $1, Joliet)

Toughest part of the project was to keep it an all casino line up, in VG condition or better. And I am very pleased with the result. Now I just need to pick a design for the inlay…suggestions are welcome!

This was the original set I bought from @Josh Kifer - first big purchase I made on PCF. I realized quickly that mixing inlays was tilting me a little and I didn’t want to remove the inlays on Happy Knights nor the Claim Stakes…so I had to let them go. Killer set though…

Such a good set.

I've found some inspiration for when I go back full steam into samples. Gotta finish my custom set first though

When I joined PCF, I thought collecting samples would never be for me. Changed my mind completely a few months ago. Collecting samples is great - you get the benefit of discovering and owning a ton of news "sets", you get the thrill of the chase and the reward that comes with finding rarer chips. And they are a great source of inspiration for customs!

Silver Saddle Casino chips will put you in the “ poor house “ first because they are almost
impossible to find in any significant quantity …

I am ready to be poor John!!

Those Casino Royale San Brunos are one of my favorite chips. I'd gladly throw away my dignity and self-respect doing whatever it took to get a few racks.

They are phenomenal. The edge spot colors make the peach even brighter in person.

So much fire happening in this thread. Amazing chips dude.

Thanks! I have to say I’m not quite sure what’s next for me (ok one more set which I will post later)

I never saw one of those Regency hundos you have, it's exquisite.

most expensive chip I bought at the time. I thought I was stupid. Now I think it’s was a genius move  :ROFLMAO: Buying the Regencies made me want to collect samples…like buying the Huntington Parks $100 made me want to collect BOH. It has been fun!

You're a brave soul. I just can't go down the singles and sample set road. I know how that ends for me.

Even when you consider some of the forum's "heavy hitters", I'd argue that you've curated one of PCF's finest collections, dude. Look forward to hopefully getting some in play at a UK meetup soon.

Ok last one for today I think…my chase for a grail continues…Its unlikely I ever get to a lot more than a rack of both…but I’m working on it. Let’s see which ones bankrupts me first.

Lakeshores v Silver Saddles is a match up comparable to Sampras v Agassi or Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus (the movie). Thoughts?

I think my favorite would be the Silver Saddles, I like colors better overall and the $25 is the best looking chip out of either lineup, followed by the Lakeshore $20
