Euros 2020 (4 Viewers)

As for France, I don't know if we watched the same game. It could very well have ended 3-0 at their place in Munich. No one pointed out the outrageous refereeing for a game of this level. The 2 canceled goals were well off-side but the forgotten penalty on Kylian? The flying knee on Pavard's face? Is it football or MMA?

I think the team will get better as the tournament goes on.
Good unbiased reporting there  :ROFLMAO:

Agreed on the second part ahaha. Wait & see...

But the rest are facts. That's what the German press says, unlike the players who say they deserve the draw and that they dominated the game.

Where is the Var when you need it?

I hope so. The team certainly does not lack talent.

I agree they played decently, especially up to the point they scored. Pogba and Kante always give a great effort and Verane was really good. One thing to note though is that this German team is kinda bad...

Pavard is one of my favorite French players and I thought at first glance the knee on his face was an agression for sure. After seeing it many times over, the ball was right there... Was it a fault? Yes, sure! Much more than that? I don't think so...

Also, we gotta remember France played with 10 players! (Rabiot never enter the game, did he? :p)

as in all sports we all can agree there are some dumb @$$ officials, but trying to speak on the positive side I do like how they are currently calling the handball rule. That single rule in previous games literally was handcuffing the defenders to an unfair disadvantage

Of course, I'm exaggerating my subjective side here, for fun.

Germany was totally inoffensive (0 shots on target in the 1st half) and it's the end of the Low era. They have good indidivuals but I agree, the team is bad.

Rabiot? Ahaha equal to himself. I noticed some good recoveries but he doesn't know how to play forward. When he was at PSG, we used to call him "Mr. Backward pass".

Yes, that is my impression of Rabiot as well, LOL!!!

With Kante and Pogba being great at playing in front of the defense, I'm not sure the team needs another defensive midfielder. Especially one who doesn't know how to create also...

100% but that's Deschamp's tactic...

Yes!!!! the Italian offensive is firing on all cylinders but giving credit to the defense ;....Italy now has 10 straight shut outs or clean slates, depending on what side of the pond your from

Italy have played two poor teams so far. Could have peaked early. The last few tournaments show that slow starters go on to win…

Euro 2012 - Spain didn’t win their first game = eventual winners

Euro 2016 - Portugal didn’t win their first game = eventual winners

Euro 2020 - Scotland didn’t win their first game = ?

Aye they were ok…
I agree still some room for improvement, better communication between strikers when at the 18 yrd mark, can take more shots on goal a few missed opportunities ...a couple taller players wouldnt hurt

edited: ah and maybe move the keeper up on the field a bit more, like maybe the half way mark? :wtf:

I’m kidding you on mate. They’re the best team so far. But some teams (Germany / France / Portugal / Spain) are slow starters and don’t really get going until the knock out phase.

i know your joking, wish my jokes were as good as yours
My biggest fear is the first 3 minutes and last 3 minutes of play, as history shows the Italians are slow to start work and then like to leave early

Italy once again looked mighty impressive, this time around against a much better team. When Italy plays this well it is always great for the football world. Same could be said about France, Germany, Brazil and Argentina.

The left side again was amazing with Spinazzola, Locatelli and Insigne. This time around, Locatelli gets the man of the match not only for his two goals but for his overall play. Fantastic!

The Swiss side is not bad but they enter the game without a will to win, so they didn't. Surprise, surprise! I guess they wanna take a chance of beating Turkey to get in...

LOVE THE EURO!!!

A great evening of results for me, personally.

I'm a firm believer that you can only beat what's in front of you, and we did that convincingly against Turkey today. If Ramsey had taken his chances and Bale scored that penalty, we could have been looking at 4 or 5-0.

I believe we're only in second gear at the moment, and if we can become more clinical as a team, I'd like to think we can get to at least the quarter finals. People thought we'd struggle getting through this group, but we've proved our naysayers wrong — yet again.

I'm really surprised that I was the only one who ended up picking Italy in the sweepstakes. Again, you can only beat what's in front of you, but Italy have done that with aplomb for the first two games — and their 27 unbeaten ones prior to those, too.

And speaking of WILL TO WIN: Wales showed plenty today!! Awesome to see! That goes a long way as it seems they are all but through to the next phase. Well done Bale and team!

There's a reason it reads Gorau Chwarae Cyd Chwarae on our crest...

... It roughly translates as The Best Play is Team Play. Our will to win, as you so rightly called it, is driven by our ability to play as one team — not 11 individuals.
