I used to be an exclusive dealer for Pirelli tires. You're speaking my language here, and I can't count how many times our retail customers would spend insane amounts of money for their goodies.
I went with some Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 tires.

As a previous Pirelli fanboy, I do have to say P-Zero doesn't always reign supreme. This is a perfect example. Sure they have incredible grip at high temps, but your average driver doesn't appreciate shortened tread life as a trade off for the performance.

I loved their tires on my motorcycles. I used to get the Super Corsa line. They were very sticky on hit summer days. Let my confidently lean the bike over.
 
I must admit I always thought brown Chips where fugly and couldn’t be integrated in a clean looking lineup.... But hot damn this set is killer:love: I love it, very unique but also freakin beautiful!!! Well done, sorry to hear that you had too sell it.

I’ve got those on my car, I’ve been pleased with them. I personally felt the GY Eagle F1’s handled a little better, but the DWS’s were better for all season. They handle the torrential downpours we get here no problem. They last way longer as well - at least for me - and I tear tires up, fast - lol.

I really need summer performance tires to keep traction to the front. My car is manual and I lose traction through 3rd if I’m really gunning it. Now that I’m in TX where we don’t get snow (normally- lol). I may go that route when I wear the DWS’s out.

Wheels and suspension are next for me, all my $$ went into the motor so far - lol. I had a great speed shop in NoVA (NGP Racing) that does crazy good work on VW/Audi’s (whole new motor install, etc). Haven’t found anything close to them here yet.

We may have to talk more in the PMs haha. Being in a state that gets snow 5 months a year, I can't have dedicated summer tires unless I was willing to swap wheels twice a year, which I'm not lol. Too much work and just adds more cost so I figure a nice high performance all season should do, I don't drive the car like I'm on a race track, I just like being able to do a pull here and there, or take a highway ramp at like 60 and grip like a beast. I also have AWD with integral steering, so the car usually handles well.

For sure!! We just moved from NoVA to the Dallas area about 2 years ago and I had the same dilemma - all season, or two sets. I went all season as well. We got plenty of snow in NoVA (maybe not as much as Boston - lol). I had no complaints with the DWS’s in snow or rain - I like them.

I could get away with summer tires here though. Plus, this is not my daily driver - it’s a project car (“sleeper”) - looks like nothing special ‘till I walk ya :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

It was built specifically as a sleeper for the jerkoff’s that buy (lease) the M’s and S’s for the badge, drive 20mph under the limit in the left lane, gun it if you try and pass them, then slow down again (daily occurrence in NoVa/MD on the beltway, Toll rd, 95, etc). You should see the reaction when they got walked by a totally stock looking VW wagon - worth every penny . Priceless -

I have a baby M in my M550 but I'm a pure enthusiast. Loved cars and bikes since I was a toddler. My car is relatively stock minus a full FI catback exhaust with carbon tips and a Dinan piggy back tuner. I'm probably in the 510whp and 530ish wtq range, but she's heavy at 4400 pounds.

Same car on my end. Matter of fact, I’ve owned it for a year and selling it because it’s more practical to have a utility car for having 3 young boys. I just gave in to my M itch after so many years of not having a Bimmer. I used to track my E36 Dinan S3 at Road Atlanta when I lived there, and I was the driver for my cousins corporate sponsored E92. Man, those were good days. When my kids get older, I’ll get a toy again. Not now. Chips will have to do haha

Very nice, that’s a nice ride for sure! I love M’s myself and M5’s are sweet. My family is from Munich, so it’s hard not to love BMW’s - lol.

I’m lower on HP, pushing close to 400hp, but lighter and ~380-400 ft-pds torque. I big turbo’d so it’s got some go fast for sure, but it’s not a match for an M5 toe to toe other then passing on the highway if I get the jump - lol.
