I voted The Sandlot. I'm a millennial and that movie was incredibly popular when I was in elementary/middle school. I think the top 5 are Sandlot, The Natural, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, and A League of Their Own.

We all know this is a false choice, as their is no actual best ... there is only most historic, most inspiring, most iconic, funniest, most gut-wrenching, most accurate, etc.

I did re-watch "Bull Durham" recently, it still holds up.

My favorite is still "Major League," With "Bull Durham," "A League of Their Own," and "Field of Dreams," right up there.

"Eight Men Out" is sneaky good for a less popular movie as well. Brilliant cast and I think is a great depiction of what happened and why.

But this is where I am sure to get roasted. "The Sandlot" is super overrated.

Yikes. I feel bad for you in the way that I feel excited when I talk to somebody that hasnt seen a great movie that I love...because they get to see it for the first time! You lack the joy of watching Sandlot! (My fav movie to get excited about that people havent seen is High Fidelity, btw).

I have seen both "The Sandlot" and "High Fidelity" enough times each to judge. "High Fidelity" is wonderful.

"Rookie of the Year" should be on the list too :).
In an early scene, the Cubs’ right fielder runs back into the Ivy and then they cut to the kid catching a ball at the fence. The guy who plays that right fielder on the Cubs is a former teammate of mine, Rich Caparelli, lol

I like Rookie of the Year and Little Big League. LBL has one of my favorite math related scenes ever...

Now that I'm thinking about it, most of the teen baseball comedies from the 90s are pretty good for what they are.

My top 4 or 5 are identical to the poll's top 4 or 5 or so. Major League, Bull Durham, Sandlot, Field of Dreams, all really good.
Joe Bu, Crash Davis, Smalls, Terence Mann, Ricky Vaughn, Wendy Peffercorn, Ray Kinsella, Nuke Laloosh.
If 1990 and the few years around it are not the golden age of baseball movies, then there isn't one.

“I got a guy on the other line about some whitewalls.”

Such enthusiasm to coach in the big leagues! Hahaha!

Old guy refrain: Dang, I've never even heard of "Sandlot".

A number of great movies there, but IMO no simple comedy could ever compare with "The Natural" or "Field of Dreams".

And in the pantheon of sports movies, even "The Natural" pales when compared to "Chariots of Fire". IMO, best sports movie ever.

I feel this is a trick question...because these baseball movies can be further broken down into generational classics.

GOAT is so hard to pick...however I believe Sandlot hits most of us right in the memory banks of real world life as a kid
